Needless to say, we’re really disappointed with all the dishes served. Nothing unique, nothing great and special about it. Very unexpected since we saw good ratings on this restaurant.
Ambience: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Food: 3.5/10 Wine: 9/10
We took the dégustation menu for dinner at 59€ per person, where the chef actually decides what to serve for the entire meal for all guests. (Which was a mistake to be frankly honest) — 2 petite versions of entrées, plats, and desserts at 59€ per person ~ not including the wine and drinks
The 2 entrées were sadly either under seasoned or blandly cold:
mushroom velouté - tastes like a normal mushroom soup, lacks salt and taste.
Veau with pecorino - not really a pleasing dish, feels like i ate airplane food
Plats: Fish with black rice risotto and black garlic- this is the most decent dish we had that night. Pretty good, but not wow.
Volaille with mais purée and popcorn- this was a let-down. Most of our chicken was so dry, and the purée was just ok. Sauce has lack of flavor.
Dessert: Chocolate fondant with hazelnut ice cream- best thing about this dish: the ice cream
Île flottante - we’ve had better. Again nothing special.
The only reason why i put 2 stars is for the service. Pleasant servers and always smiling.
But overall, it did not compensate our taste, experience and expectations on this restaurant, especially for the price.
It was our first and sadly it will also be our...
Read moreThis is the best of Paris! Let’s start with the amazing staff - so warm and welcoming. We had a great conversation with our waiter (best of luck with your studies and travel!). They made us feel like we were in their home as guests.
On to the food…The grilled octopus salad was beyond amazing. Cooked perfectly and with such flavor. The chicken and polenta was so tender and the 7 hour cooked lamb was to die for. The portions were absolutely perfect. Dessert was a marvelous ending - Fraise Gariguette with fresh local strawberries, house made sorbet and cream and the Mille-feuille was so light and tasty. Simply perfection. Coffee and tea finished off a perfect evening. Did I mention the champagne?? Don’t forget to start with a glass!!
The atmosphere was equally outstanding. A modern, chic bistro that welcomes you with open arms and draws you in.
The prices are so reasonable. All the food is locally sourced so the menu is updated accordingly and always brings fresh to your table.
This is probably the best review I have left for a restaurant, and for good reason. The most outstanding aspect though was the staff. We felt like we had made new best friends before the evening ended.
Just book a table and go. You will not be disappointed. You may even see us there because we are definitely going back.
Thank you for making our anniversary so special in such a...
Read moreI went to the Food Capital to indulge myself. At Le 112 I surely did. Chef Isabelle Ricci has composed, and skilfully executed, a menu that gives you a satisfied stomach and a palate that asks you where you went and orders you back. Thanks to me going with my family I had the opportunity to taste several items of interest. Such as - sea bass carpaccio with mango and passion fruit in virgin olive oil, green asparagus with avocadopuré and grapefruit. That’s entrees. I had a perfectly cooked fillet of veal with macaroni in a light cheese sauce. My wife and youngest daughter had free range chicken with tomato and spring onions. These dishes sang their own songs of spices and herbs. My oldest daughter had artichoke soup and cream with smoked duck breast. That soup was so smooth as to eat a cloud of umami. My own lack in knowledge of wine was perfectly compensated by the good and attentive staff. I’ve had far more expensive meals with less perfection. You’d be daft to miss...
