We had our 5-year anniversary dinner at Comice and boy, was it everything we hoped for. From the moment we walked in it felt like a warm bath. The staff is highly attentive and goes out of their way to cater to your needs. Your glass almost empty? They got you. Your plate finished and you're ready for the next round? It's already on its way. We especially loved our host, such a charming charismatic guy with the perfect combination of humor and great etiquette. We had the full 5-course experience and every dish was magnificent. From the amuse to the deserts, we felt like we died and went to a foody heaven. Yes, it can be quite expensive for those with a smaller budget (like us) but it was well worth it, believe me. We thought it was the perfect place to celebrate a special day. Part of the charm was the fact that the owners of the restaurant were working hard alongside the crew but they were also available to share their story and vision.
Was there really nothing to complain about? Hmm well I guess we maybe expected a premium location for such a high quality restaurant. We love to have a walk after a good meal to finish the evening and we quickly decided to take a cab home. Other than that, we had a superb evening. Highly recommended, 10 out of 10 and will be back...

So what’s interesting here ? As usual, I’m not going to speak about all the details. I’ll take this restaurant as an example of couple restaurants. I mean restaurant managed by couples. There are a lot of couple that are known to manage restaurant (and some that we don’t ;-) ). That’s not unique. Still when there’s an harmony, or at least a « discussion « between the couple, it produce a more impactful result. The couple can be in the kitchen (salt and dessert) or between the kitchen and the dining room. Here it’s the later, and the interesting thing is that note only she manages the service (which is already a full time job with strong skills required) but she’s the « sommelière » (feminine of sommelier). And a very good one. The wine list is interesting and she’s very good in giving advice. You can sense that she’s a great input for helping making the most of her husband skills.
Bottom line, you’ll spend a great night but I do advocate, in that case (but not only), for enjoying it with some wine if you...
Read moreMy wife and I had a wonderful experience at Comice. The food, presentation, and service were all top notch.
We went with the 4-course tasting menu, which also included a larger than normal and delicious amuse-bouche (carrot soup), as well as the accompanying wine pairing. Needless to say we were fully content!
We paid an extra 46 euro to add black truffle to the pasta. It was fresh and added a nice complexity to the dish. Not sure if it was worth the added cost but we don't regret it. The seabass (main course) was cooked perfectly and was everything you want in a fish. The chocolate soufflé was the best soufflé and one of the best desserts I have ever had in my life. Absolutely amazing.
At no point during the meal did we feel like we needed to ask anything of the staff. From the moment we walked in they had our needs met and were timely in delivering the next course and wine pairing.
It was a long meal and we enjoyed every moment of it. We look forward to eating here again next time we...
