I came to this place with my wife my sister in law and her husband. It was their recommendation, I was wary of the 3.4 rating to be honest. But frankly google reviews in aggregate are meaningless nowadays, people are too bitter maybe too stingy.

The place was good, not the best of course but to be honest it was a very good experience. We shared appetisers:

Ceviche de Bar: it was OK not well seasoned 3/5 Poêlée de champignon et oeuf: wow that was insane the mushrooms were so juicy and flavourful and the egg with a runny yolk just how I like it. 5/5 Salade de chèvre: well seasoned and refreshing 4/5. Shrimp with basilic: a bit underwhelming and simple: 3/5.

I took the filet de daurade with sauve au beurre blanc the dish was good, the fish was fresh but I had a better beurre blanc: 4/5.

I tasted my wife’s le tigre qui pleure a Thai marinated ribeye, it was flavourful bur for some reason thai seasoning and ribeye is not my cup of tea: 3.5/5.

The wine was great we took a white and a red.

Yess the price quality ratio is not on point, but this restaurant is at least a 4!!!

The atmosphere and decor...

Lovely restaurant, the interior is great and the food was great too. The croque monsieur, the truffle mash and the eggs Benedict were all really delicious! Service was a little slow hence I couldn’t give 5 stars. We asked for ketchup and mayo and water but we didn’t get any and the butter we asked for got given like 10 mins after. I also asked for scrambled eggs but I got a fried egg instead. I tried to explain to the waiter but he didn’t really understand. The warm coffee was served in a tall tumbler glass which is not a big issue but just doesn’t seem right. The plate for the croque monsieur was a weird shape and made it difficult to cut. I would come back because the place is very pretty, the food was good and the location is great, it’s by the river and a close walk to the Eiffel Tower, so we planned to go there after our visit and it worked out great. To get to Le Plage from the main side of Paris the fastest, you’ll need to get the train that goes to Versailles or get a bus, or can do a long walk...
