Went to this bakery in my neighborhood, drawn by its high ratings and gluten-free options. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. I tried a NY Roll, and to say it was disappointing would be an understatement. The pastry had an unsettling odor reminiscent of cat kibble, and it wasn’t even fresh—a glaring fault for something priced at €8.
I’ve noticed it’s a common thing for gluten free bakeries, that they sell produce that isn’t fresh, i assume due to high cost of production. For 8€ I still expect something freshly baked.
Initially I wanted a tarte but I’ve noticed that they all came with margarine that’s packed with trans fats which I don’t eat (IYKYK)
Sadly there were not many options for those who don’t eat trans fats. It is funny that sometimes we try to make healthier choices but unknowingly we can make even worse ones.
The NY Roll was barely edible from the chocolate-covered side, but without the chocolate, it was impossible to eat, even if one were truly hungry. The strange cat food-like smell lingered, and it went straight à la poubelle. I simply cannot comprehend where such high ratings come from.
I agree that the interior, the logo, and identica in general, their SMM and even merch—all is flawless, it’s a match made in heaven. The service was nice and friendly too.
I already just had a coffee before coming so I didn’t have a chance to taste it here, which I’ll do in the future.
However, the roll was undoubtedly the worst pastry I’ve ever had, and I felt utterly foolish for paying so much for it. While the bakery’s gluten-free offering may be an advantage, and perhaps still better than Noglu, it falls drastically short in delivering quality,...

I recently visited Copains for breakfast while on the hunt for the best gluten-free pastries in Paris, and I was immediately struck by the presentation. The way they display their pastries is absolutely stunning – you truly feel like you've stepped into a haute couture bakery! Each pastry is a work of art, and it's clear a lot of effort goes into their creation.
While the pastries looked absolutely beautiful, I personally found that they lacked that authentic croissant texture I've been craving since going gluten-free. It was still good, and I appreciate their dedication to crafting such beautiful gluten-free options, but it wasn't my favorite croissant of the trip.
However, their breads are a different story – they are incredibly delicious! I highly recommend a stop at one of their several locations throughout Paris if you're in search of fantastic gluten-free breads and beautiful gluten-free treats.
Despite the croissant not being a perfect match for my craving, the overall experience and the quality of their other products make it a worthwhile visit for anyone with dietary...
Read moreUnfortunately overall somewhat disappointing, it is so wonderful that there are multiple gluten free boulangerie to choose from now in the city but this one does not live up to expectations.
The shop is very pretty, everything is laid out in a lovely way, and the salesperson collects everything you order onto a tray before wrapping it. This part was very pretty and nice. However, the pastry themselves were hit and miss. Most of them were extremely greasy, soaking through their paper in moments and feeling very heavy in the mouth. A croissant should surely use plenty of good butter, but it should also be flaky and light.
Some of the pastry also did not seem to be very fresh-- tough around the edges, dense and wet towards the middle, with a sour flavor noticeable in the pastry cream of some items that should not be sour, like the vanilla new york roll. We ultimately decided it was a risk to eat this last item due to the unexpected sour flavor, as we were not sure if it...
