CRAVAN Paris 16e — Restaurant in Paris

Is this the best expresso I've ever had? Quite possibly. If the care put into it's preperation is anything to go by, then it definitely is. Original early 20th century decor (1911) in this tiny cafe goes hand in hand with the staff efforts to make the best cup of coffee you've ever had.

While her I heard a couple of people who travelled specially for the cocktails. Gin, Absinthe, Vermouth, rum, tequila and champagne are the basis for some interesting mixes. Too early for me but I will be back!

Menu is upscale bar menu. Omelette, salad, gaspacho for lunch with crab, roast aubergine figuring on the evening menu. No big meals but big experience.

The staff are clearly pros and all seem to speak fluent English. I sense a wealth of experience behind this concept, a significant effort and certainly not fly by night.

It’s a quaint little place to visit if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there.

There are only 6 tiny tables inside, and a few more outside. I went there because I heard lots of good things about the cafe using in season and fresh ingredients. The place is also famous for their unique cocktails offer at night.

I went around noon on a weekday so there were only one patron there. There were 2 people working, a French guy and a nice Canadian lady, who explained a lot of the menu to me.

The menu is pretty simple, and only in French. There’s a breakfast, lunch, and to share section.

Visited that gem whilst in Paris in September, was blown away by everything: the decor is sumptuous, the food on the upper floor was so delicious and sized perfectly to share with friends, the cocktails felt tailor made by the bar staff. We then had the chance the visit the library before, stunning mix of old books with the Rizzoli collection, we then finished the evening drinking a bottled cocktail on the 3rd floor, amazing experience.
