Glace L’achta in Paris is, unfortunately, a disappointment for those familiar with authentic Middle Eastern desserts. Coming from this culture and having tasted hundreds of similar places, I feel compelled to share honest feedback, not as criticism, but as constructive awareness.
The kenefeh was just okay. It lacked the traditional bread base, and the flavor profile felt incomplete. For the price and the hype, the quality didn’t justify the experience. Neither I nor my four friends were satisfied, and we unanimously agreed we wouldn’t return or recommend it unless improvements are made.
Positives: One kind staff member offered me a baklava to taste, which I appreciated.
Negatives: • The pistachio dough looked vibrant but lacked the rich pistachio flavor one would expect. • The ashta ice cream fell short of delivering a strong, authentic taste. • Overall, it felt like style over substance, which was disappointing for a dessert place with such potential.
It’s disheartening to see quality take a back seat, especially when relying on social media marketing or food blogger endorsements. Word of mouth from satisfied customers should speak louder than any viral video.
I hope this feedback inspires the team to prioritize quality over hype. With some changes, Glace L’achta could truly become the destination it...
Read moreTried samples from here and the popular Glacé Bachir just around the corner and this one is better for many reasons. I ended up getting a small cup of achta flavour w pistachio topping and it was delicious. Perfect ‘chewiness’ and stretchiness that Lebanese / Arab ice cream has and the orange blossom flavour was delicate and just right.
They also had pistachio rose flavours when I was there. Staff was friendly! It’s a small shop that also sells kunafeh and other Arab treats. No queue compared to Bachir (which I feel is overhyped but they clearly have good marketing) and also WAY cheaper. 4.5 euro for a small, plus 1 euro to add pistachio topping vs Bachir charging 5 for a small but a crazy 3.5 euro for pistachio...
Read moreFirst of all i m from south of Turkiye so i m very familiar with the ice cream and the kunefe
the service is not friendly and more importantly not hygenic. They use gloves but touch everywhere and they put the ice cream that touched their gloves .. unfortunately i couldnt react on the moment because of personal reasons. Didnt taste the ice cream but the texture was not appealing .. too soft.(Like melted)
kunefe is 7 euros and it s heated in microwave. Served on a paper plate. It doesnt justify the price at all. The taste was mediocre.
the counter to eat was dirty.
unfortunately it was a bad experince. I definetely dont recommend this place. It s sad to see a lebanese place providing such a low service...
