I come here regularly for dumplings. They are OUTSTANDING. And the price can’t be beat. The fried aubergine starter is really good too. Please abstain from ordering wine and non-specialty dishes. This is a hole-in-the-wall type of eatery with Chinese staff, not a Parisian bistro. Expect service to be slow, confusing and sometimes not “polite” by western standards. Don’t take it personally! This is a traditional chinese place and they serve really good and cheap food. Play along, enjoy dumplings to your heart’s content, and bring cash to pay when you’re done. The food tasted quite good. However, the waiter who served us took the liberty of writing down a set menu we didn’t ask for when ordering for us, and also packed our food without permission. When I raised the issue, hoping to switch back to our original order and have it repriced, he was extremely impatient with us. He insisted that it was our fault for standing while ordering, which led him to misunderstand that we wanted our order to go (which he never actually asked about). Food was okay, very small dumplings compared to normal. Plate was size of my face which fit 15 dumplings. Also they tried to get us to pay cash saying the machine does not accept "foreign card" even though it was a bank card issued here. Also when tried using app pay they pulled the card machine away saying it was not going to work without giving it a try.
