Disappointing experience despite a stunning setting

We recently had dinner at this restaurant located inside a museum in Paris, drawn by its elegance and the beauty of the venue — which truly is remarkable. Unfortunately, beyond the atmosphere, the overall experience was disappointing on several fronts.

The service did not live up to expectations: the waitstaff, although polite, were clearly too few to properly manage such a large dining area, resulting in a long waiting times and little attention to the tables. The chairs (made of metal) were hard and uncomfortable, lacking cushions— they became unpleasant to sit on..a detail that, in a place of this standard, should not be overlooked.

As for the food, this was the most disappointing part: very small portions, basic presentation, and above all, bland and unremarkable flavors. We ordered two meat-based dishes, which were unfortunately served really cold and completely lacking in flavor. Even the accompanying sauces, though present, were bland and added nothing to the dish. The side dish was meager and soulless: bland, lacking care or character — it felt like an afterthought just to fill the plate. For the prices charged, we expected a much higher level of quality. To make matters worse, my partner experienced stomach issues after the meal. *Breads and Drinks are ok..

I must repeat: the setting is undeniably beautiful, but it simply doesn’t justify such a high bill when faced with poor service and underwhelming cuisine. Truly...

I love sitting in this stunning courtyard on a sunny day with a glass of wine. It’s one of my fave places in Paris and I always tell friends to visit. Whenever visiting, I always looked into the window of the restaurant and thought it was so beautiful that I wanted to go there one day. So when a few friends came to Paris for my birthday this weekend, I decided we should go for lunch. The interior is beautiful, which made me think this would be a fine dining experience. The beautiful interior was the best thing about this place. The manager did his best to compensate for all the service mistakes, like forgetting food orders, uncooked fish, and just general chaos in the service. Food was ok. We were a large party and I’d made a reservation so they would know we were coming. My piece of advice to this establishment is to check your reservations every day so you can prepare your staff accordingly. It’ll make your guest experience much more pleasant. We were overcharged more than 60€ on the 12th July for our table by the mistake of the waitor Thomas. Instead of reimbursing us on the spot. The server stated we would receive the reimbursement the next day. We left our details and received no reimbursement or contact from the restaurants.had to physically go back to the restaurant to seek the reimbursement as nobody contacted me. Their phone number listed on google does not work. The reimbursement took 1.5 weeks. If i had not lived in Paris and gone back they never would have repayed! Tourists beware. The food was over salted and they didn't even have all of the dishes available from a selection of 12 overall dishes. The toilets didn't even have toilet paper in them. Setting is nice and food decent. But they have a lot of kinks they need to sort out before this restaurant should have opened especially for the prices.
