Kinágua — Restaurant in Paris

Amazing bar! I organised my boyfriend's 30th birthday together with about 25 friends in the bar area. The decor was beautiful and very cosy, the volume of the music was perfect for talking, dining and keeping my friends in the mood (I was told I could play my own music and I didn't even need to). Slim, the owner, is a super nice guy who helped me with all the arrangements by email and was always available. When we arrived, he and his team took care of everything with a big smile. The barman made us amazing cocktails (he can make you anything you want!) and the waitresses were always very attentive to all of us. The food was very good and perfect for the kind of informal celebration I was looking for. When it came time to bring out the birthday cake, they prepared it perfectly with the candles and everything and then served it beautifully presented in individual bowls for everyone (a very nice gesture on their part). Waited for table for 45 minutes (it was reserved but previous guests were sitting there. Nobody informed them that table is booked for next guests and they need to leave). Champagne was warm or even hot, so while opening a bottle, cap flew away and we saw a fontain with Champagne running on the floor 🍾 There were 5 of us waiting, and we were waiting sitting on the table for 2 people. we asked to bring at least water and drinks, and decided to order food hoping to have a table soon. They have not brought glasses but brought food and just gave it, so we were literally holding plates in hands as table for 2 is very tiny and was not possibleto put more than 3 plates. Visited from Dublin and met up with family here last night, what a find! The atmosphere, the design of the bar/restaurant was fantastic. We all had different dishes and each one went down a treat, the Nemo (salmon) was truly delicious. We couldn’t decide which cocktails to have so we basically worked our way through the menu. We were not disappointed! Classic ingredients mixed with a fresh twist, using some subtle flavours, hand crafted by our mixologist. Sometimes it’s nice to break from traditional recipes and at Ivy I really feel they do this with aplomb, there’s a lot of care and attention to detail here which is so refreshing.
