Little Italy Caffè — Restaurant in Paris

If you like cigarette smell with you food, go here. I went in April for dinner and asked the waiter if he could close the door because the cigarette smoke from the customers in the terrace kept blowing in. He said no, that he couldn’t because there would be no air (it was about 70 degrees). We were sitting towards the end of the restaurant, so changing tables was not an option. I explained I had health problems and that cigarettes really affected me. He shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn’t do anything. I told him customers have the right to eat without cigarette smoke, and he clearly said: no, not here. I was surprised, and went to IL TRE, another restaurant owned by the same family on that same street. The owner’s son at IL TRE explained that the waiter at Little Italy Café that night was his brother. He also mentioned that was their smoking policy. I used to like those restaurants. However, if they disregard an obvious health concern such as smoking, what other standards of hygiene might they be neglecting in their kitchen, where no one can...

This is the 3rd and last time I'll be visiting this place. Up until now it's been ok. But today.... When the food is so bad and you complain, should you expect a replacement or just cut your losses? I know some cooks will send back a "special" fresh meal and I'm not prepared to risk it. I complained after eating as much as I could and the Spanish waiter couldn't either speak French or English he didn't pass on my complaint. The waitress had no idea what I was talking about as the waiter didn't pass on my issue. My wife had a taste of my meal and had to spit the mouthful out... It was that bad. These guys thought I just wanted a free meal but handled my complaint so poorly that I will never return. Eat there at your peril, I've never reviewed a...

Good food at good prices. We had the Quattro Formaggio and the All'Arrabbiata. Both were great and the included bread was good. We were seated quickly in an almost empty restaraunt, but it took a while to be served beyond this. After we placed our order the restaraunt filled up, our food was brought out, and we were long forgotten. We wasted a great deal of time waiting to pay. We asked our server if we needed to go to the till to pay, she said she would bring the bill to the table. This did not happen and we waited much longer, eventually asked another staff member who eventually allowed is to pay and leave. Good food soured by the frustrating...
