Le Maung was such a beautiful surprise. I was on the hunt for a proper light roast and stumbled into this cozy, warm, and cool little spotâand ended up falling in love with Indonesian coffee. The owner, Andri, introduced us to their magic, a 4 oz drink made with two ristretto shots. It has the richness of a flat white, the size of a cortado, and the kind of balance I chase in every city.
The light roast was styled to perfection, with delicate notes of strawberry, lychee, and black currant. Nando, the barista, absolutely nailed the texture and latte artâsuper smooth, super intentional. And just when I thought I was done, Afi came by with a warm in-house cookie that tasted even better than it looked (and it looked good). Even the hot chocolate surprised meâdark and aromatic, but still creamy and smooth.
My favorite part? They had nothing but love for the coffee community around them. They even gave a warm shoutout to Motors Coffee, calling it one of the best in Paris and speaking highly of the ownerâs passion and knowledge. That kind of generosity and camaraderie is rareâand it says everything about the kind of place Le Maung is.
This team clearly loves what they do. The whole experience felt thoughtful and welcoming. Canât wait...
Read moreVisited today for a cortado and was so impressed by the coffee, service/owner, and the vibes of this little shop. The interior is lovely. The cortado I ordered was amazing and the owner was cheery, hugging and greeting people all around- clearly an amazing space for people to connect and enjoy delicious coffee. As a went to pay, they offered me a sample of their filter coffee to try a different one- all of their coffee is from Indonesia and very good. I had also ordered some pastries earlier that morning from a nearby place I wanted to try and he mentioned as I left I could have enjoyed them if I wanted to (I didn't, as most places don't allow) and I thought that was such a thoughtful thing to say. Best cafe visit in Paris so...

Usually from Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia. Ethiopia is known for its amazing beans too. Most specialty coffee I've tried in my life were from these countries.
In this place, beans come from Indonesia. Believe me or not, but coffee, just like wine, can be distinguished by the region. Indonesian coffee was new experience to me, and a mind-blowing one. Baristas know what they are doing and they will explain why you taste what you taste in precise details, if you ask.
I wouldn't recommend this place as a "fast-coffee", only as a slow pace meditative experience. Don't rush things and patiently feel multifaceted taste of each variety. It pays...
