La Fermette — Local services in Paris

Good selection of cheese but very very rude employees. No one was so rude to us in Paris. We have tried three pieces of different cheeses (for which we anyways payed, spent €50+) for which one of the employees told us - “you chose a wrong time to be tasting the cheese.” Excuse me? Do I need a special time to visit your store? I’m very sorry for trying three small pieces of your cheese before making a 50€ purchase, have a decency at least to let us try the cheese that we want to buy and spend our money to. Unusual for Paris, many other stores in the same street with good cheese and way friendlier employees. Was a very big shame, ruined our overall Paris trip. Prices are not that special, other stores around really do have the same prices and they give you time to choose and are not stingy. Do not recommend at all....

My cousin insisted we go to this shop for Comte' on our visit to Paris. Well worth it. The staff were extremely helpful. They were very patient with our American lack of knowledge. We ended up with several kinds of cheese, and a salami. We already had a baguette from a place up the street. They had a barrel on the sidewalk beside their front door. We ate everything right there atop the barrel! By the way, they had 4 different ages of Comte',we went with the 24 Month. Excellent cheese, excellent staff. Highly recommend...

Super Unfriendly and Rude. We were really looking forward to coming here and exploring the different cheese options that they have in France. However, the gentleman who helped us couldn’t have been more rude or unhelpful. We’re a super friendly family, and we’re really disappointed to have such a bad experience. If you’re American do not go here. you are definitely not welcome. he would say rude things and the French people in line would laugh. Can’t imagine doing that to anyone. Avoid the...
