L'Aller Retour Marais is a speciality steakhouse that specialises in offering very high end cuts of meats with exceptional quality and attentive service for the more selective customers compared to other steakhouses around town. The menu is limited but options will satisfy most meat lovers looking for a more exceptional steakhouse experience. The ambience of the place is more of a bistor than your traditional steakhouse feel, and the place itself is cosy with tables spread over two levels and we were fortunate enough to be seated on the upper level after we had made a reservation a few days prior to our visit. Our server was friendly, professional and was more than helpful in suggesting some of their recommendations on the menu. We were a group of six people and all of us ordered the burrata which was sincerely divine and to die for, I would just visit this restuarant for the burrata, and the second starter that would make me visit this place exclusively is the beef tartare with an egg in the middle and after a few weeks from visiting I can still taste this plate in mouth and am still craving it everyday! Our server also recommended we try their signature bone marrow, which we didn't try as we had already decided on our starter way before we came to the resturant, but would definitely recommend it taking the quality of the meat on offer. For our steaks all of us had the beef fillet and one order of rib eye with varying levels of preparations and I can definitely recommend the Medium rare (à point) for a perfectly cooked steak with juiecy and tender flavour and texture. The steak tasted like a fresh cut of raw meat and for meat lovers this is always a delightful first impression that rewards only the most serious carnivorous out there. I would definitely pick L'Aller Retour over many of the other more commercial steakhouses dotting the city of lights and am sure I will enjoy it like the first time!

We choose this place based on a recommendation of a friend. It was really important as we got engaged on the day during our 3 days escape to Paris myself and my partner, I wrote that while booking but i had no expectations anyway. Nothing mentioned as they were so messy overwhelmed. We got a seat in a very crammed area, the staff was running all over, there was 3 guys at the bar screaming like some football hooligans drunk and I have seen it all in hospitality these guys were so annoying, they made it such a horrible atmosphere. The worst part we got some bread, my partner asked for some Butter the waitress came back we have no butter? Sorry how are you cooking in a fine dining restaurant. How can u not get butter in Paris? After she forgot twice she said we dont have. The only thing that was good was one of our main courses, otherwise my dish ( pave d’angus) was chewy… What was supposed to be a nice evening in Paris on a Saturday was not ideal… also i think the bartenders were laughing at me and my partner when we came in. Not sure why! Overall maybe a good place for a drink but not to spend 90€. Sort your staffing and if you are too busy dont be greedy and limit ur bookings and surely either u are a restaurant or a rowdy drunken people bar.

An outstanding, super-friendly brasserie. While it’s a wee bit cozy inside, you’ll dice with smiles on your face. Not just because the food is excellent, but the staff are warm and kind. We started with the pate de campange served with cornichon, as well as the obligatory escargot. Both were great starters, but wish they weren’t out of the bone marrow (yum). I had a wonderful beouf tartare. The beef was superbly fresh and seasoned more the French style. They offered Tabasco and Worcestershire if I wanted it, but it was perfect as-is. My wife had the onglet and it was divine. Perfectly med rare on the French scale, and again, perfectly seasoned. The frites on both dishes as well as the salad were great. As we got to know the staff, now our friends Liloo, Mahmoud, and Otto, we were chatting it up for a bit. They gave us some Chartreuse at the end of the meal on the house. Never had it before but it was like sipping an herb garden. So delish. Thank you my friends for looking out for us and helping us have a wonderful meal.
