I don't have enough words to explain how awesome this place is. This was just a random find on yelp and I was a bit skeptical but this is the reason I place so must trust in yelp and fellow yelpers. This place is AMAZING and definitely worth a visit. It is a bit off the main roads but it is in a quiet/adorable paris neighborhood. We saw the reviews stating that lines formed so we made our way promptly over for their opening time while walking around the cute neighborhood. This place is not large and is located right next to a vino shop owned by the same owners. There is patio seating outside to enjoy the view and smoke if desired and then around 24 to 26 seats inside. We were greeted with smiling faces when we walked in and seated inside in the corner.
All of the waiters were extremely friendly and were enthused by my broken French. They were all eager to explain each of the dishes and what was delicious while being very attentive the entire time. The concept of the restaurant and their wine is simple. If you are looking for glasses of wine, the direct waiters are all willing to help you. But why bother when you can get a GREAT bottle for 15 euros on average. IF you want to buy a bottle, you simply get up and walk right next door (connected to the restaurant) and look at the walls of vino. The guy at the store is extremely helpful and it was an easy ordeal to pick a bottle of vino. I ended up picking a few bottles for the night and even walked away the restaurant with an open bottle cos we ordered so much but this is not the time or place to talk about alcohol. After perusing the menu, decided to order a bunch of things inclusive of the planche mixte, the parmentier de canard, and penne a la crème with jambon/parmesan/truffle. I don't even need to go into details but everything was amazing and no this is not the wine talking.
The plance mixte was the best variety of charcuterie/fromage that I have had yet. Everything was delicious and the perfect balance of different types of cheeses/meats. They were very attentive and gave multiple servings of bread while joking that Parisians get never have enough bread. The parmentier de canard was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It was such a surprise as it didn't look like anything good but the mashed potatoes were good on top and the duck was cooked perfectly. Tender pieces of meat mixed in offering perfect salty balance to the potatoes. The penne was out of this world delicious. I love how they made this dish in an uncomplicated manner and just executed to perfection. Even the ham that was placed on top didn't like much but the meats were perfect quality offering perfect balance to the parmesan cream and penne beneath. I could eat this for days.
There are not enough good things I can say about this place from the food, the quality of food, the selection of vinos, and most importantly the amazing staff. This is a place I wished I had gone a few times and feel it is tremendously underrated. Definitely check...

Menus available in French and English!
The staff was so on their game (even with 2 new people) and so friendly. A mix of bilingual and not. Communication was never an issue and everything came to me so quickly.
I had the mixed charcuterie (meats and cheese) and it was fantastic. Server explained to me what everything was without asking and mentioned their own favorites. My favorite was the bleu cheese, but it was all so so good.
Then the people’s food next to me came out and I got major FOMO. I wish I could have eaten everything on the menu. They had some grilled octopus and these amazing deviled eggs. I saw a lot of the eggs and these cool grilled cheeses flying out of the kitchen so those must be the things to have.
The crowd was young and very lively. It was super busy, but they take your name down for seating inside or outside and run a tight ship. Still recommend getting here before 7:30PM (19:30) if you want to avoid a wait entirely.
Could not recommend this place more highly. I’m so glad I found it and got a chance to finally have my French cheese platter. It did...
Read moreThis is my favorite favorite wine bar in Paris. It's so popular and usually very crowded. I finally managed to find a table here at the third time that I tried to come (and this is still after hanging around with friends in two other bars, so that this bar, Barav, finally has some tables available late at night). I do not regret the effort at all. This place has a huge wine rack, where wines are sorted based on the regions and labeled with price. You can consult the waitors about the taste if you're not sure about if you're not going to like the wine or not. They have both very affordable wines starting from 9€ a bottle to premium ones at the price of 30-40€. Even though they charge 6€ extra if you want to consume the wine in the bar, you can still get a good bottle of wine at very very affordable price. They also have a wide selection of different cheeses. Definitely a good place for wine lovers, and I definitely would come back if I can find a place again here at...
