Struggling with French Menus? Chinese-French Translation Guide (Plus Itinerary Tips!)
Anthony MayerAnthony Mayer
As a solo diner, I was warmly welcomed and made to feel at home right away. Sammi greeted me upon arrival and was friendly as I settled in early (the place was empty). Maya served me mostly and truly stood out throughout the evening. She guided me through the menu, and was incredibly helpful, especially for someone like me who doesn’t speak French. Her friendly and attentive service made the experience all the more enjoyable. For my meal, I started with the ceviche, which was fresh and perfectly balanced. The braised beef cheek was tender and full of flavour, and to top it all off, I chose the cider sabayon for dessert. I’d never had ‘sabayon’ before - it looked plain but tasted amazing. Overall, OMG, the food was superb, the service was friendly and welcoming and the entire dining experience was memorable for my last night in Paris! Highly recommended!!

Wow... vegetarian plate is to die for. So you can see I am not kidding... here is the proof, empty plate cleaned with the delicious bread they serve. Best dessert the Paris Breast... amazing! The greatest thing about this gem is the staff. Quick, efficent and nice. I asked to move 3 times and they accommodated me with a smile. I went in with no reservation and they accommodated me at the bar, then I saw a table open up by window then a women's smoke made me want to move back to the bar. They were so professional and nice. I'll be back!

Don't go there if you just want a drink!! Staff was unbelievably rude and inattentive. We sat down for 20 minutes (with the staff knowing) and no one even gave us a menu. We ended up getting the menus by ourselves at the bar and tried to order drinks directly there. At first attempt, we were told that one of the drinks we wanted was not available. So we tried to order something else, just to get this response: "you're here just to drink?" They basically told us that tables are only for dining guests (despite the fact that there were a few empty tables) and so they basically just kicked us out!! Unbelievable! Never in my life have I even gone to a bar/ restaurant without getting anything after staying for 30 minutes. What a waste of our precious time. THINK TWICE before you go there, or be prepared to be surprised by the...

Best meal I had during my week in Paris! After relying on a mix of Google ratings and random wanderings and having a bunch of OK to disappointing experiences, we finally ended up here on the recommendation of a local, and it did not disappoint. I had the grilled octopus (poulpe) which was amazing, as well as a bite of my friend's duck, which was also quite good (especially after some of my duck experiences earlier on in the trip). Even the dishes the people next to us got smelled really good (though, sadly, I didn't try them). To top it all off, the service was very fast and attentive, which, let's be honest, is not always the case in Paris. All in all a great experience, and I'll definitely be back next time...
