Traveled to this restaurant as it was highly recommended by multiple people we ran into while visiting. Walked in and were greeted very nicely by the owner but that was the extent of it. We were planning on ordering one fondue serving for 5 people to try as a snack. The owner clarified that we could do that but shortly after brought 5 plates of salad and potatoes. We were all very confused and tried clarifying. Asked again if this was one serving for all of us and he said yes. I still did not feel right and asked for the menu and to clarify again. He came over to the table and proceeded to tell us that it is impossible for 5 people to share a fondue because otherwise how would he pay for his napkins, table clothes, and kitchen staff. Two of the people we were with have ran restaurants and know very well that what the customer orders should not determine how we pay for our daily necessities. Actually, anyone can put those two together. Either way, he chastised us because we were not owners and “don’t know anything”. He told us “do you expect if you went to McDonalds and ordered a Big Mac for 5 people they would be ok with it”. Either way, very irrational thought processes and rude. Would not recommend or return. As a side note, there was a cat that walked around on...
Read moreI took my mother to this restaurant for a nice cozy Friday dinner. Although the atmosphere and food of the restaurant was nice, our night has been ruined by a very unpleasant and rude waiter. We wanted to order a raclette to share with a bottle of wine. The waiter said that it is a rule to order a plate for each person. He was kind of punching the menu while explaning this rule very rudely. At the end, I ordered a snail as extra. Once we had the raclette, he was showing us how to eat it by touching the cheese with his bear hands !! He was doing the same with our forks and knifes ! Not the hygiene you’d expect in a restaurant..
When I asked him to give me a new fork, he tried to show me how I can get the meet of the snails using my regular fork and refused to bring me a new one.
The experience at the end was the worst. We received the bill from the same waiter without asking for it, and being forced to leave the restaurant. When I told the same waiter that I did not ask for the bill, he was speaking rudely again and telling me that I can pay whenever I want.
Overall it is a cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere but I’d not recommend anyone to have dinner there unless the attitude of that...
Read moreThe bad review it isn't for the quality of the food, it is for the attitude of the owner when he asked for my thoughts and opinion, but it wasn't what he think over that. The food is delicious, we ate a fondue and a raclette and both are fantastic. Then we finished and asked for the when the owner came and asked me: "Where are you from?", I answered: "Barcelona" and the next question from him was: "Are you independent?", my answer was: "Yes!" and then he made a joke: "Ok, so you can go out of my restaurant (laughing)". I didn't answered on that comment.
He went to a table close to us, there was sitting a spanish couple and said them, pointing out us: "They are catalan, and they are independent.. blablabla..".
We paid and got up from the chair and he came again and said me: "Did you live the Civil War of the 36?", and I answered: "Of course not, you can't see I am younger..", we started to walk to go out of the restaurant, when he stopped us and started to said to the couple: "If there is another Civil War, don't worry, I will come with my weapon to fight for PP and Spanish people to kill...
