This place is a little whole in the wall. I'm so glad we decided I took a chance and walked in. Their menu is in French, so you will have to ask the server to translate if you don't know French like I did.

I had the raw fish for starters. I typically do not eat raw, but very glad they suggested. It was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I wanted to order 3 mores, but I know I have so many more dishes to go.

While waiting for the main course they brought us their homemade bread. It was so good I had to pace myself.

I took this time to go to the restroom. It's upstairs and that's where I got a glimpse of the kitchen. The chef and Sue chef working very fast plating for over 30 people. It was pretty cool see them in action.

Main course came and wow one bite into the lamb I was sinking into the chair. Why can't all food taste this good. I cleaned the plate with more bread.

Dessert. The owner said he loves chocolate. I told him that's mine favorite too. He brought me their chocolate dessert. I had the same dessert the day before and didn't really like it, so I was iffy on this one. Should have never questioned it as all food so far have been an A+++. And so did the dessert.

I can't wait to come back!!

By the way, I wrote this review 2 weeks later and that's how memorable the food and the place was for me.

Hope you guys while try it...

Review for Fish La Boissonnerie

From the moment we sat down, it was clear this was going to be a special meal. The bread, fresh from the oven at the focaccia spot across the street, set the tone. Then came the tuna belly—hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced, with a whisper of soy sauce and just the right touch of pickled radishes and cucumbers to brighten each bite.

We shared the cod, and every detail, from the plating to the sauces, was executed flawlessly. And for Syrah lovers, the Hermitage off the Verre du Vin menu was a steal for the price—deep, structured, and beautifully crafted. While not the classic pairing for fish, it was a treat in its own right, with a complexity that made it worth savoring.

The service was outstanding—a warm, welcoming team that made us feel at home. We arrived far too early for our 7:15 reservation, but it was a treat to watch the restaurant fill up, every table occupied by the time we left. Far more engaging and intimate than the usual touristy brasseries.

Merci infiniment à toute l’équipe—un vrai moment de plaisir, à la hauteur des grandes maisons, avec le supplément d’âme qui fait toute...

If it was socially acceptable to lick my plate clean then I would have. Instead, I used the fresh bread that they collect during the evening from the bakery across the road and serve to the table still warm as I didn't want to leave a drop of mouthwatering flavour on my plate. The food here is so delicious and my complements go out to the Chefs - I came with my partner and we had a starter, main and dessert, wine, dessert wine, plus a complimentary amuse bouche was served before our starters. The food is gastronomical and at a competitive price (I am doubtful you will find anything better). The service was welcoming, friendly and perfect - we didn't feel rushed at all and neither did we feel we had to wait a long time either for food or drinks. Our French isn't great but we always like to try. Often we get things wrong but their English was well spoken and they also had menus written in English so please don't avoid if your worried about not being able to speak any French. Can't reccomend this place more, please do try, you won't be...

We had starters and two main with some white and red wine, it’s nice overall. The scallops with yuzu sauce are delightful, the mayonnaise has yuzu flavour that made it perfect dip with everything. Although we all know starter of scallops are never a bad idea, but this is out of imagination. I highly recommend try it without hesitation. Tuna mixed with ham might be a bit disappointing with less surprised, but it’s still an okay starter. The sides was trying to make it unfamiliar familiar somehow. The pork belly and polenta are pretty good, tender and melty, and crispy skin provides different texture that makes the main not too boring. Pulled rabbit is quite good as well. The last time I tried elsewhere was a little bit tough and salty, however this time I had good impression on rabbit. Pumpkin purée is sweet, and if pair the purée with rabbit, the taste worth trying at least once.
