We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Plaza Etoile! The room we had was big enough for our teenagers to each have a twin bed and my husband and I to have a queen bed. The bathroom set up was great for our family because the toilet was separate from the shower room. This made getting ready in the morning easier for a family of 4. We had an amazing view! The view of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe really made the stay special. We loved watching the tower sparkle on the hour from our room late at night. The staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating! They recommended restaurants, helped us figure out the best way to get to different places we were going. They even tried to help us sort out our phones when our American phones stopped working in France. Very kind and helpful! The location was great for the view, the walkability, and the metro stop a block away. The metro stop there has so many lines that come through it so we could head out in any direction from there. Overall, I recommend the hotel! It is in a great location, the staff is fantastic, the rooms are a good size and can accommodate a family, and the view is amazing.

I loved the staff, the look of the room and the hotel. The room was quaint and what you would expect in a day dream. It was bery nice and put us right where we wanted to be in the City Center. I am only giving them three stars for one reason, that can easily be fixed. It smelled at time as if a plumbing problem may have occurred on a floor above us or in the building next to us, so we' d get a strong odor rushing in a times. To the point that even though we had a heat wave I had to open the window to get rid of the smell. I am no plumber but maybe there is a clog in the pipes on the third floor. Us second floor folks had to endure that smell.

Nice hotel very near to the Arc de Triunf. We were lucky having the upgrade to the deluxe room with a wonderful view on the arc and the tower. The room was very large, confortable and clean. There're 2 bathrooms but only one with the shower. Very good also the presence of the coffee machine and some chocolates for the guests. I absolutely suggest it

Not worth the Price I Paid but I will put the points what I liked and do not like here so you can decide

Things that expected to be better but did not bother me much

Size of the room is very very very compact. And the washroom can’t fit more than one person at a time it is that small. lol. The cloth hanger was above the Toilet and once one of my pants also fell into it 🥲. But well the room is so compact that from next tome I just placed the clothes on the bed and took it from the washroom threshold lol the distance.

Breakfast area is also very very compact and if 10 people come at once there is not space to sit. The pancakes would get over if you are not early and the eggs were not hard boiled. But the staff was polite enough to hard boil the eggs for me !! ❤️

You can hear the doors of the neighbouring room shut open and close even through the closed room door. My neighbours were not noisy so I had a good sleep.

The corridor is so so so narrow lol if you are not lean enough you may get stuck trying to move 🤣

Mind this not all rooms have Eiffel view. But for the price I paid I definitely expected it but sadly I got a very View of next building through my window.

Things I liked but still not worth the money I paid for 3 nights 🥲

Location was fantastic near the metro and the bus station with lot of restaurants and Arc de Triumph at walking distance

They made my bed daily and cleaned the washroom and replaced supplements.

The staff at the reception was very polite and breakfast was good with different options as an Indian I did not have a bad time.

Windows were openable

Ambiance was pleasant and bedding...

An awful, unprofessional and dysfunctional hotel. Arrived to find out that the electronic door lock to our room didn’t work, so l had to fetch (and wait for) staff to manually unlock the door every single time l wanted to enter my room.

Room keys (if they work) have to be left at reception when you go out, and when you return there’s no check to make sure the staff are giving the key to the right patron. You just quote a room number and a key is casually handed over. Forget about securing anything safely at this hotel. The night guy that let us into our room had never seen us before, so he had no way of knowing we were who we said we were (and yet he handed the key over at 11pm at night!)

Additionally, our requested ‘Twin room’ had only a single bed, not the requested two, and we had not been advised of this until after they took full payment, whereby an alternative room and/or refund was refused. When asked why we were not warned of this before arrival and payment, the justification was ‘a request for two beds is optional for the hotel'. A request for an additional blanket so l could makeshift a bed (on the floor) was also refused. So l ‘slept’, shivering on the floor, to allow my friend to use the only bed. A perfunctory offer to refund our breakfast (if we purchased it, and we had not) was the only concession offered.

Lastly, l hope you like subway noise, because you’re going to hear and feel it every 10 minutes.

As a realistic and regular traveler, I had low expectations for Parisian hotels, and this establishment managed to spectacularly underperform even this low standard.

Well...

I am travelling alone and I had to book a deluxe room in this hotel yesterday 11 June 2025 as I could not get any rooms in this hotel or any hotel in the vicinity. I had to pay a hefty price of 560 Euro for a night’s stay! The usual price of a room in this hotel ranges between 150-230 Euros otherwise for this season. I checked in at 9pm yesterday and I only realized it at midnight there was a pungent smell in the toilet when I tried to use it. I had to hold my breath in order to use the toilet. The state of the smell in the toilet is simply not acceptable! The guy at reception came to take a look at it and said he will do something about it. As I did not hear from him in 45 mins, I had to remind him again and he came up to room with some air freshener which did not help at all. I told him I will like a refund if not a discount on the room rate which I have already paid in full. He mentioned he will notify the reception staff in the morning but the reception staff said he didn’t hear anything of it and he will need to escalate the matter to the management and I should hear from the management within a day. I hope the management gets to hear about this issue here as well and I hope to get a refund else a discount for the unpleasant experience in your hotel....
