La Cantine de l'Aiguillage — Restaurant in Paris

The chef here is outstanding. Every day there are two plat du jour (one usually vegetarian) and two different starters — and the dishes are never repeated. Apparently, even the chef doesn’t know what he’ll create the day before, so it’s a surprise for everyone, including him! It’s incredibly impressive that one person can come up with so much variety and creativity on the spot.

The flavours are alternative — not tied to any specific cuisine, but always well-balanced, fresh, and interesting. I always find it hard to choose just one dish.

The restaurant is located inside what I believe is an art gallery, so you often get to enjoy a photo exhibition along with your meal.

I'm not a local, but I make a point to come here whenever I visit France — it's that good. The only downside is the limited opening hours — weekdays only, from 12:30 to 15:00 — so it’s strictly a lunch spot. But absolutely worth...

Plus sérieusement, excellente cuisine ! Les plats sont beaux, raffinés et riches en couleurs ! Une composition mêlant textures et saveurs ! Les aliments sont frais et les sauces une explosion de goût ! Bravo au chef pour toutes ces créations exquises ! Le service est irréprochable ! Vous pouvez déguster en salle où au bar ! La personne chargée du service est aux petits soins, souriantes et solaires ! Très belle équipe ! Lieu très original et sans prétentions.

Attention, pépite sous-cotée ! Caché au fin fond d’un immeuble d’artistes à la façade défraîchie, difficile de s’imaginer qu’un restaurant s’y cache au rez de chaussée, côté opposé à l’entrée. Et quel restaurant ! Une cuisine magnifique, de l’entrée au dessert, de la présentation aux saveurs. C’est un vrai régal que nous prépare le chef à chaque fois. Un rapport qualité prix défiant toute concurrence....
