I personally quite like classic obnoxious parisien style service - at least itâs not fake. But at La Fronde, for some customers itâs intimidating, borderline aggressive, at best cold, while for others itâs a bit friendly, almost helpful, with a hint of humour. Ă la tĂȘte du client. I kept a very low profile as I felt actively un-welcomed.
My actual review for this place, where I was relating what I overheard the staff saying about customers, has been refused twice by Google. That might give an idea that itâs wasnât âappropriateâ.
At La Fronde, youâll feel trapped like a child with abusive, embarrassing parents.
The food is very tasty; good, varied menu of staple dishes with a twist; the place looks cute and the location is perfect.

Loved our food; slow cooked pork loin on mashed polenta, and a salmon poke bowl. Service was friendly and welcoming.
Still quite surprised at how many French people still smoke; so despite sitting inside by an open window, we still felt that we had passively smoked a few cigarettes! Nevertheless, not the establishmentâs fault.

The waitress said that the croissant was not available but advised me an omelet. This costed me almost 20⏠(?!) and it wasnât great, in fact, I make it better myself, even with a hangover. Also ordered it without bacon, and I got bacon (?!). I paid the bill, almost had to call an ambulance of the inappropriately quality/price...
