I went there yesterday morning and after a significant amount of time, our waiter, whose name was Thomas, finally came over and took our order. He was rude and was the epitome of what one would think of a childish and entitled person. As my wife and I waited for our order, an American girl sat behind us and asked Thomas if she could order breakfast, to which he told her she could not. She said thank you and got up and left, which for some reason gave Thomas to verbally go off about how stupid Americans were, so on and so forth, all in French. It was a clear display of a child acting out. I would suggest that Thomas be required to mature into an adult before returning to work and add a warning that some Americans speak French. If you are an American, spend your money somewhere else and you will likely get much more in terms of quality service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Dear Owner, My wife and I were at your restaurant, La Rotonde de la Muette, on September 26th, 2023, at 11h 45m, when the situation described above occurred. When we paid the 14 Euros for our two Capuchinos, the rude and childish waiter, described above, handed us a recipt that had the name "Thomas" as our server. It was definitely your restaurant, the La Rotonde de la Muette, as it clearly states your restaurant’s name and the date and time we were there on my credit card statement.

So, with the date and time given you should easily be able to identify your employee, who provides horrable service, acts like a child and clearly hates Americans, (votre employé, qui fournit un service épouvantable, se comporte comme un enfant et déteste clairement les Américains) and take the appropriate action, or you can do what you have done with all the negative reviews you have received and ignore the complaint and write some excuses to avoid responsibility.

We chose this place for dinner as our accommodation is nearby.As a food lover who has tried a lot of restaurants in this area, I don’t recommend it for tourists.There are better options in this area.

Overall,the food quality is a usual level for the price but sides like the fries are dry, hard and bitter.

For the service, the waiters seem to be tried and don’t care about customers.A waiter tipped over our fries when he was serving it.There were no help and no words for this situation.

What’s worse,an insect found in the drink.When asking for help,we were pushed to another waiter.After a long time waiting, we finally gained a new one again —but without any sorry for the issue.

This did not seem to match the positioning of the place. Need to mention that we do saw the difference between the service of local acquaintances and us.

Maybe the experience was because the language barrier as we only speak English. However, we did noticed this kind of “don’t care” style service also happened to who dressed normally or who just comes for a drink. And we have been to other restaurants in this area and the experience was different from here.

We were in the area with my husband and had reason to celebrate, so we decided to treat ourselves to this lovely looking restaurant. The place wasn't too busy. It was around 14-15, so past the busy lunch time. We were sited immediately outside next to the lady with a small dog on her lap, despite many other empty seats. I don't mind animals, but I don't necessarily want to dine next to one. We were given a menu, and that was the last time we had any encounter with staff members. We picked our dishes and waited for someone to approached us 5-10-15 mins, nobody comes to us - despite waiters passing by. My husband tried to make some eye contact with some waiters and wave at them - nothing. We asked two passing waiters if they could come and take our order, and we were completely ignored (my husband is French, so not like someone couldn't speak English). After waiting for 25 minutes, we just got up and walked away. Shame, as the place looks nice and we wanted to...
