Crêperie Gigi — Restaurant in Paris

BAG STOLEN WHILE EATING OUTSIDE OF GIGi’s -BE CAREFUL!!!!

The food is excellent - we loved it. However, at 1:00 pm on a sunny Friday - my son had a small backpack with a camera, etc in it. He had it right next to his chair on ground. We were sitting on the far table to left and both of us were sitting with our backs to sidewalk behind. I had my bag on chair next to me. While we were eating someone sneaked up and grabbed his bag. He said he thought a guy was taking a cigarette break behind us. I did not notice. The waiters were sympathetic but admitted this has happened before. BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL if you eat there- a university nearby and lots of young kids. The food is excellent- the crepes divine- but clearly this is a bad neighborhood...

This place is the best combination of elements a visitor to Paris could wish for: uniquely French food, delicious, relatively inexpensive (high value), and helpful staff. The savory crepes are incredible and filling. My girlfriend and I were full after 1 savory crepe each and a shared dessert. This place was so good we went back the next night to do dessert for dinner. So in a four night stay in Paris, we had dinner here twice. That should say a lot.

The staff are very friendly. Though there are no menus in English, the staff will kindly translate the menu for you. They all speak English quite well. So definitely try this place if you're in Paris! I doubt there are much better value meals available...

Came here at Sunday lunchtime in August, the cafe was quiet. Outdoor seating (benches) available, with a nice view over the green. Staff are attentive and lovely, accommodating us with our limited knowledge of French, and helping shoo away a rogue wasp. Galettes menu includes salmon, burrata, ham etc; I had the salmon with creme fraiche which was tasty and beautifully presented. For dessert, the daily special (strawberries with frozen yoghurt, white chocolate and strawberry coulis) was great, even if the coulis was a little sharp.
