Le Bistro de Longchamp — Restaurant in Paris

We stopped by this place after seeing the Eiffel tower, and I got the Steak Frites For the beef, they served a grilled sirloin steak. This also came with fried potatoes

I thought the steak was overcooked a bit. I asked for medium-rare, but it seemed to be more on the medium-well side, and was pretty chewy in certain places. On the upside, though, I really liked the sauce that the steak came in. Rather than 'letting the meat speak for itself', like some places do, this spot provided a sauce to enhance the flavor that was pretty enjoyable. It was very liquidy, which allowed the steak to soak up a lot of the flavor. it was also salted very well

The fried potatoes were an interesting twist on the usual fries that comes with this dish. I liked their inclusion, and they were solid, but not spectacular

Since this is a Portuguese restaurant, I also got the pasteis de nata. This was very good

For a price of around 22-23 euros for the meal, I would say it's a good amount of food

Overall, this is a decent enough but unspectacular place a little away from the crowds of the touristy...

My wife and I took a romantic walk around the Eiffel Tower and surrounding area and came upon this bistro and stopped in for some dinner. As soon as we entered it was obvious that there was no seating available for two people. We smiled and waived and turned to leave and a very nice man started gesturing and calling for us to come back in. He had a couple of words with several of the people sitting there and they all moved and cleared a small 2-top table so we could eat. We thought this was absolutely delightful and stayed. The food was great, the service was great and the crowd at this place are really friendly and welcoming. Whenever we are in Paris will stop by for dinner. Café absolument...

A bit disappointed by the choice of food as I decided to try the place following the good reviews - it seems there is a majority of sausages A the grillade of the day is one piece of chicken and 2 sausages, or you can pick the merguez sausage or the double sausage - so great for sausages lovers - also the chicken burger comes with a. Fried chicken and the French fries come from a ready made frozen bag - the grilled tuna steak was good but a bit dry.
