From the moment we checked in, to the time we checking out, we had a five star experience at the Floride Etoile Hotel.
With so much choice in the area close to the Eiffel Tower, we were so glad that we booked this hotel for our 5 night family holiday after a 3 day stay at Disneyland Paris.
Checking in was very easy and was helped by us completing some details prior to our arrival, sent by the hotel a few days beforehand. All staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful throughout our stay.
The location of the hotel was perfect! 5/6 minute walk to the Trocadéro, 15 minutes to the Eiffel Tower and 15 minutes to the Arc de Triomphe.
There are two Metro stations within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, making it very easily accessible to the Paris attractions.
The hotel itself is located off the main Avenue Kléber that has many places to eat, supermarkets, cash points, pharmacies and transport links. There is even a small well stocked supermarket at the end of the street.
Our room (Executive triple #512) was located on the 5th floor, with easy reach from the lift. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped with air-con, kettle, flat screen tv, mini fridge, desk, safe, storage and other accessories. Plenty of sockets to charge our electronic devices too.
The bathroom was very spacious with a shower over a good sized bath.
Being just off the main avenue, the room was very quiet and we had no outside noise at all due to the double glazed windows and our location at the back of the hotel.
Our room was serviced daily to a high standard and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we preferred to grab a few pastries from the local boulangerie on our way out for the day. There is a lovely one a few minutes away.
The night before our departure, the hotel reception staff arranged for a taxi to CDG airport and depending on what time your flight is it's between 30 and 60 minutes. We paid 65 euros from the hotel to Terminal 2B.
We had an amazing stay in Paris and were so glad that we stayed in this hotel.
It's those little extras that go along way, including leaving small boxes of hotel chocolates on our pillows on Easter Sunday and the warm and friendly welcome that we received.
Would we stay there again? Definitely. Would we recommend to others based on our experiences? We already have.
Thanks to everyone for a lovely stay and hopefully we'll...
Read moreBeing half anmile away from the Eiffel Tower is a huge plus. Fairly easy to find right off Kleber, one of the main roads coming from the Arc de Triomphe. The metro isnclose and there are cafes, shops, and restaurants all over the area. The elevator is a little small, but thats how they are all over Paris. The property looks older, but they do a good job of maintaining and keeping it clean. There is roomnservice and a cafe area with daily breakfast available. We didn't really use anynofnthe amenities as were moving constantly to tour rhe city. We were on the 5th floor and had a queen twin combo room that accommodated our party of three. The room is heated with two hot water heaters and if we got got we just opened a window. There is a safe and hair dryer in the room and the staff does a daily refresh of the room. The only downside was the shower. The water temp would vary from lukewarm to scalding regardless of how much you fiddled with the shower handle. We were able to deal with it though. All in all, this was a great location with pretty much most of what you need unless you are extremely high maintenance. Would definitely...
Read moreWell located hotel, so accessible in a nice neighborhood. Our room was clean and maintained. The room didn't have sound insulation! So your sleep quality depends on your neighboring units. In our case, we were unlucky 1/3 nights.
Our bathroom didn't have shower curtain nor glass partition, was simply a tub; so bathing was really uncomfortable.
The breakfast were limited and not much of fresh options.
Update---- Thanks for your response, future plans are lovely but future planned renovations doesn't help our lost sleep.
I'm sure you or cleaning staff would know which rooms don't have updated bathroom with No-screen. It was second floor, street wing, not remembering the exact number.
As per breakfast; fresh-cut fruits, cut-greens, roasted veggies or spring salads. 1 or 2 hot items with hot serving boards. A full sized apple or nectarine being there and moving to tomorrow breakfast unconsumed should've been at least a hint.
Cereal and yogurt with no fresh toppings can be bought from grocery stores. I would recommend others to try nearby cafes or keep that...
