From the moment we stepped into Frog XVI, we felt an immediate warmth that set the tone for an exceptional evening. Nestled in the heart of Paris, Frog XVI combines the lively ambiance of a traditional British pub with the chic elegance of a Parisian bar, and the result is absolutely delightful.
But what truly elevated our experience was the impeccable service provided by Jamal. From the get-go, he welcomed us with a genuine smile and an energy that made us feel both valued and at ease. His knowledge of the menu â from craft beers to house specials â was impressive, and he guided us through the offerings with both confidence and charisma.
We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was on point. The burgers were juicy and full of flavor, the fish and chips were perfectly crisp, and the nachos? Absolute heaven. The beer selection was just as memorable â the in-house brews are a must-try, and Jamal helped us find the perfect pairings for each course.
What made Jamal stand out even more was his attentiveness. He checked in just the right amount, never intrusive, but always available. He anticipated our needs, made great recommendations, and even shared a few laughs with us. It felt less like we were being "served" and more like we were being hosted by a good friend who genuinely cared about our night.
The vibe of the place was buzzing â a mix of locals and tourists, all seemingly enjoying themselves just as much as we were. The music, the decor, the buzz of conversation â it all added to the atmosphere without being overwhelming.
All in all, Frog XVI exceeded our expectations, and Jamal made it unforgettable. If you're in Paris and looking for a great place to unwind, eat well, drink better, and be treated like royalty â this is it.
Weâll definitely be back....
Read moreThis place advertises itself as a sports restaurant, but itâs anything but that. For several weeks, weâve repeatedly asked to watch Formula 1 races with sound, yet every time weâre met with a new excuse. Todayâs reason was, âWe donât have enough waiters.â
Weâve always tried to be polite and find a compromise, but they consistently refuse, claiming that âcustomers donât want to watch.â Meanwhile, we come as groups of 15 to 20 people specifically to see the race, so clearly some customers do want to watch.
Itâs astonishing that a business would turn away large tables of paying customers instead of accommodating them for just one hour. Calling ahead doesnât help either, since the restaurant is practically impossible to reach by phone.
Theyâre not cooperative, never willing to compromise, and seem uninterested in actually being a sports restaurant. If you donât care about sports fans or canât make small adjustments for major sporting events, then stop advertising as...
Read moreWe used to go regularly, but lately weâve been disappointed more than once. We went yesterday, we asked the waitress if they were still serving food and she said yes but we needed to hurry up because the kitchen closes soon. So we did. After like 40 minutes, the food still didnât come so we asked another waitress because our original waitress was a no show. She said that the kitchen had already closed and there was no way that the order was processed in the first place. When another waiter we knew asked the manager about what we could do, he started yelling at the waiter. We called the manager over to talk and he âso graciously agreed to remove the food from the billâ, the food that we never got and yet never apologized . He was unreasonable and displayed poor customer service. He started yelling at us to pay for our drinks and kept insisting that he was being nice for not letting us pay for the food. He ended up telling us not to come anymore because...
