Keep walking… The food: came for breakfast and dinner. We ordered Benedict eggs and the egg sandwich. Food was ok. Portions are big. (Breakfast experience). Best part of the breakfast, the coffee. We came back for dinner: avoid the quesadillas. Very salty (maybe due to the barbecue sauce they added.. extremely weird choice for quesadillas..). They come with a boring and salty salad… Also ordered the chocolate cake. Didn’t taste fresh to me… The restaurant: beautiful location with tables indoors and outdoors. The service: a bit slow (first time we visited). We had to ask for menus after waiting for at least 15 minutes. Then another 10 minutes to place the order. The place wasn’t crowded at the moment so that was a bit frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend.

Marcel Villa Leandre is a delightful find near Sacre-Coeur. They serve a fantastic cappuccino with delicious complementary chocolate. The service is lovely, and the food is amazing; I highly recommend the benedict and waffles. The ambience adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot for post Sacre-Coeur dining. Plus, it offers decent value for the quality you receive. The only drawback is the lack of outdoor seating cover, but we opted for indoor dining, which was comfortable. Overall, a great choice for a delightful meal.

A place out of the rush, tucked behind a cute neighborhood. I’d recommend a reservation if you plan on enjoying your time. We called the day of and there was availability for a brunch slot. We arrived about 10 mins early and were seated quickly. The food portions are smaller than expected for the prices. Prices are overpriced for the quality and taste. Also, the mimosas were not good at all.... especially for €10. I’d recommend the French toast it was by far the best part of the meal.

My wife and I visited Marcel for an early lunch on 22 Nov 2018. It was cold and a little wet. A Paris guide recommended Marcel as one of her favorite places to eat, and we are so very glad she did.

Marcel was warm, inviting, and friendly, with Alt Rock playing softly in the background. The restaurant was very clean, with a bar and mirrors along one wall, and lots of glass, mirrors, and wooden cubby holes on the others. The toilet was sparkling clean and modern.

We were there as the bread arrived fresh from the boulanger; flavorful and with a crisp crust, just as it should be. My lunch was a Bacon Cheeseburger to die for; cooked exactly as I ordered by the chef at the other end of a dumbwaiter. The onions were caramelized to sweet perfection. The bacon and cheese were thick and hearty; the bun fresh and delicious, as were the plentiful French Fries.

My wife had the Beef Bowl. She was expecting beef stew. But what arrived was actually a salad with several thick strips of flank steak; fair but not fabulous.

We topped off our lunch with a decadent Hot Chocolate and a Chantilly Cream on Chocolate Cake that made us want more. With burgers, desert, and atmosphere like that, I found it difficult to leave Marcel and go back to...

Such a disappointment. Few places in Paris offer such consistently tasteless food AND zero care service...

If your taste buds need a break from feeling anything, then the superfood salad is for you - no amount of salt, pepper, olive oil or cheap balsamic vinegar can make this green lump of stuff taste like food.

Then there were the potatos - or at least that’s what they said on the menu because what landed on our table had neither the look, feel or taste of anything remotely similar to a potato...

In the end, we decided to cancel the rest of our order for fear of serious injury.

I never write reviews but for this place I felt the need to create an account and break the habit.

Would...
