What a bummer. We were excited to check this place out after reading some good reviews. We were so disappointed. I hope that the owner sees these poor reviews and speaks to the staff because they absolutely ruined our experience. The bar itself is super cool looking and the menu is fun and inventive. It’s too bad the staff working this evening was none of those things.
Upon arrival two guys reluctantly greeted us in a very brightly lit interior and told us to grab a table outside. I had seen many photos online and was confused at the cafeteria lighting happening.
We were promptly given menus and then….nothing. After at least ten minutes my husband decided to go in and order but he quickly discovered no one was inside. One of the bartenders was standing right in front smoking. Within 6 feet of our table. He watched my husband walk in and back out and didn’t do anything for another few minutes. He eventually came over to take our order. Instead of going in to make it or relay it to the other bartender (who was no where to be seen) he went back to talking to a friend and smoking for another 3 minutes or so.
I forgot to mention that there were about 4-5 other tables with customers out front. No one inside. So these guys weren’t busy.
We finished our cocktails and were considering another but noticed that now both bartenders were outside smoking and chatting with friends and weren’t attending to any of the customers.
I watched a couple walk inside from the street and walk back out after a couple minutes, presumably because the bartenders never went inside to serve them.
As we sat hoping either one would look in our direction so we could order another drink or for one to go inside we looked at the other tables and noticed 3 other tables had empty drinks and were also being completely ignored.
When they finally went inside I walked in to pay and the one not standing behind the bar looked me up and down then turned away. Before I could even ask for the bill the other one handed me the card reader and announced my bill. I noticed he did not give me happy hour pricing that was advertised but I was so ready to never see these guys again that I didn’t argue.
I initially chalked it up to them not liking Americans but the other tables they were ignoring weren’t Americans. Turns out these bartenders are...

Read moreWe weren’t allowed to come in just because the security outside didn’t like us. We waited outside to see how different other people were treated, and it was actual French people who were able to access the place. Later on, a very lovely young lady came out. We got to talk to her. She spoke to the security to mediate for us getting into the place. She returned, telling us he didn’t want us to go inside. This is simply an act of ignorance and stupidity. The security should know better how to deal with potential customers. It's such a disgrace. If you are not French, then cancel coming here because the racist security guard will not allow...
