We made a little investigation through the restaurants in Paris, who cooked frog’s legs, and we chose this small, cute restaurant. We weren’t disappointed. We are so glad to visit it. The food was delicious, the service is very quick, a waiting time was low. The prices are reasonable. There are no many tables and the restaurant is always full of clients. But we were happy to get a table almost before the restaurant closed. The kitchen is right behind the bar table, so you can see how two talented cooks prepare your dish. The restaurant is located in the city center, not far away from the Louvre museum. It’s easy to get here buy common transportation or taxi service. The interior of restaurant is made in interesting style of Louis 4 🙂. The dishes were delicious. We had frog’s legs and ravioli snails with calvados.
The owner of this awesome restaurant is kind and super hospitable woman. She serves you with your order and do this job with love. She with her professional team made a present for us cause we had our wedding anniversary. It was a big surprise for us. We appreciate her so much. Definitely she loves her restaurant, her job, her team, her clients. She can make a pleasant conversation with everybody like she knows everybody for a long time. Visiting of this restaurant was like a pearl of our vacation in Paris. We love it. Hope to get there again....
Read moreMy husband and I stumbled upon Le Louis at the beginning of our Paris visit as it was right around the corner from where we were staying. We are so happy we did! It is an intimate, friendly place, where the owner is directly involved with the service. She is a very patient, helpful hostess, who genuinely wants guests to have a pleasant meal and visit. The food's quality and flavor is beyond description. We started with the pate, accompanied by a fruit jam. I then had Sea Bass sauteed perfectly and my husband had local grilled sausages. Both were wonderful. We had the lava cake for dessert that melted in our mouths. The wine suggested was perfect with our meals and I had some of the best Irish coffee ever. The gentlemen sitting close to us ordered the Prime Rib and it looked and smelled wonderfully, and the portion was very generous. During our meal, the owner invited us to return on Saturday night as they have a piano player from Louisiana play and guests sing-a-long. We did return and had an absolute blast. Everyone in the restaurant from all over the planet sings, laughs and enjoys a great time! Of all the restaurants in Paris, this little place, not far from the Louvre, is well...
Read moreWow! What an amazing experience and I was lucky enough to dine here twice during my trip. I met the owner Celine, who was an absolute delight. She made me feel welcomed and at home. She even remembered my name! How incredibly sweet. The first night I came by for dinner with no reservation (it was so busy but the service was still amazing), I was able to take advantage of the beautiful evening weather and dine outdoors. I ordered the truffle risotto with scallops and it was divine. It was one of my favourite meals in Paris. Celine's son(?) was adorable, he brought me the menu and cutlery. I had creme brulee and it was creamy and smooth. The second time I dined here was for lunch and I wanted to experience the dining room. It was so lovely and what a cozy vibe. I ordered the steak frites and it was delicious, perfect medium rare. I will definately be back next year and cannot wait for that risotto again. Thanks so much for making me feel at home, Celine. I really appreciate your genuinity and kindness....
