Le Mess — Restaurant in Paris

Loved this restaurant! Came in for a late lunch after checking out some reviews and saw that it was near my hotel. The food was excellent! The tables are not super close together providing a sense of privacy that you may not get in some of the other Parisian Cafes. My party ordered the fish of the day which was a tuna steak with mashed potatoes and carrot purée as well as the rump steak which came with a sesame oil and potato fritters….just wow! The tuna steak was covered in a tomato like sauce with bell peppers that did not take away from the tuna. The rump steak was tender and cooked perfectly (medium rare to medium). The potato fritters had excellent crunch offset by the fluffiness of the whipped potatoes inside. The waiter recommended a red Burgundy wine that paired well with our dishes.

My wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch today. It was a very nice surprise. It is a small restaurant but with very good interior design (I was a retired interior designer). The owner put a lot of thought to make this restaurant with a very nice ambience and comfort. Tables are not congested like other typical ones. Food was excellent with very good service. We came from Vancouver, Canada for vacation and glad to find this restaurant close to our hotel. We will definitely be back during this trip and...

Excellent little treasure found next to luxury shopping area in Paris. Wonderful and very tasty food, Stephane is the owner and recommended us excellent dishes and great drinks to suit our food choice. We will definitely come back when in Paris.
