This is one of our go-to places in Saint-Germain. We usually stay in the 6th. Apertivo choices here are excellent, and I will say the cocktails are awesome. Waiters are friendly and welcoming.

But there's more. This place serves non-stop, and breakfast and lunch are promptly served, with excellent plating and good French fare and some international dishes as well. When we're out shopping or touristing, we want the choice of either lingering (waiters are fine with that) or being served more quickly (waitstaff is quite intuitive).

Tables are well spaced and chairs are very comfortable. It is quiet, elegant and very proper.

Now to the food. There's always some inventive chicken dish on the menu, with good seasonal vegetables. The braised beef dish is very good and to me, the portions are the right size (not tiny but not huge). The bread is excellent and so are the frites. I had roast chicken with the potatoes dauphinoise (we know them in the US as "scalloped" - but these are so much better than any I've had here at home). I would go back again for just those. Hamburger buns are delicious. The grilled chicken on roast potatoes is delicious. There are also a number of salads and staff is happy to make substitutions for vegetarians. My dining partner had the penne pasta (vegetarian) and enjoyed it very much.

There's something for everyone here, because there are so many restaurants in the area and the door way is a little off the boulevard, it's not packed to the rafters, but a lovely place to sit and enjoy a meal, with a mix of French-speaking and international tourists.

I feel that this restaurants really understands its purpose - a wide variety of regular meals, some inventive and some standard, something for everyone, not super-expensive...

Came here with my parents, restaurant wasn’t particularly busy for a Friday night with empty tables around the place and so the atmosphere wasn’t over crowded and was quite nice. Was only 2 vegetarian options which I am used to when eating in Europe - I chose the ‘veggie burger with fries’ thinking it was going to be a vegetable based/perhaps a meat alternative patty with salad on the bun however was quite disappointed to receive a bun with meat alt patty with cheese and burger sauce.. should’ve been called a ‘veg cheeseburger’ in my opinion. My mum ordered the chicken Thai salad and can only be described as they used the ‘bad bit of the chicken.. just really gross’.. ‘the salad was good but the chicken was disgusting’. My dad ordered the chicken puillard risotto and his review of that dish was good so nothing to complain about there haha.

What really let this place down was the poor, inattentive waiter ( whose name is Jeffery according to our bill ) who seemed very.. distracted. When we tried to grab Jeffery’s attention so he could take our order (after waiting 20-30 minutes) he seemed too busy talking to a colleague and clearing tables and didn’t look our way so we ended up asking someone else but were told that we had to wait for his colleague to come back as he wasn't working in this part of the restaurant. We eventually ordered and our food arrived in an adequate time however whilst waiting we had no glasses or water. Three times he realised he forgot our water and it took atleast another half hour after we had finished our meals for him to bring the bill as we had to eventually get his attention.. Overall one could tell this waiter was very unorganised and his priorities weren’t in order and it greatly affected...

We randomly stumbled into Relais Odéon as I was getting hangry and just needed some calories. A wise man once said "any port in a storm."

We sat here on the cute little patio and I was completely unprepared when the server came so I just glanced at the menu and ordered the first thing that popped out at me. "Yeah I'll just do a porn star martini."

We ordered some charcuterie and escargot as an ode to the ultimate French ambiance. My girlfriend loves escargot, but I'm convinced she just loves the rich butter infused with garlic and parsley.

As I was ripping into this porn star martini, my gf got email confirmation that she had landed her first apartment in New York. What a moment. Getting confirmation on your first NYC apartment while dawgin some slugs (escargot) at a random restaurant in Paris. So beast. We got another round of porn star martinis to celebrate.

The bread was stale and the cured meats a bit uninspired, but the porn star martinis were firing on all cylinders.
