Disappointed at many levels. They should advertise « BEST LOBSTER AND CRAYFISH ROLL ». I came here for the best Lobster roll of 2018 (apparently), and I got a crayfish roll instead sitting on lots of mayo. I only saw like 2 small pieces of lobster meat and the whole roll was crayfish. I have no problem eating crayfish, but for 25€…I should be getting a Lobster roll.
I am so disappointed comparing this place to LUKE’S LOBSTER ROLL. Just check their website out, and that is exactly what they serve..Pure lobster meat generously poured w butter and herb sauce. Brilliant! Nothing like Homer Lobster.
Homer’s bio brioche is indeed good. But if their rolls are indeed more Lobster than anything, they would have had the balls to serve it with just butter and herbs..As how lobster is supposed to be enjoyed. Shame they put so much mayo there with their butter herb sauce. Not the server’s fault, I think that’s their standard procedure to confuse the customer if we’re eating crayfish or lobster meat w every bite. I’m appalled.
By the way, I didn’t feel the butter on the dry crayfish. Bottom line, it was bad. Dry meat..period. Also..The Wakame was so bright green I was wondering if it industrial. Lemonade spritz was kind of disgusting too, although it seemed fait maison. Sorry, but 29€ for the Lobster set was a waste of money.
The staff was nice and the music was good. Silver lining. But with so many good looking restaurants I could have conveniently went to, I went all the way to this one in Saint German because it’s been years since I want to replicate the joy I had eating Luke’s Lobster roll in Tokyo..I thought this place could come close at...
Read moreI only discovered Homer Lobster while walking to the metro a few weeks ago. I stopped in and spoke to the staff and after a description of what they offered, made a note to return, yesterday I did just that.
Homer Lobster specializes in the creation of the famed Lobster Roll originating from the North East of the United States. Being from the North-North East, I would consider myself an expert on the subject, as such my standards are high.
On the menu you have 3 primary choices, Lobster (+crayfish), Shrimp and Crab. For each of these meat types, you can choose one of four themes for your sandwich:
Miso-Yuzu (asian) Classic (standard lobster roll with mayo) Safran Connecticut
For me I took 2 sandwiches, one being the Classic and the other being the Connecticut. Both sandwiches were faithful in the general sense. Brioche buns, Lobster was there although not exclusively, there was a heavy mix of crayfish and the Connecticut had clarified butter and the Classic had mayonnaise, missing was the lettuce that is normally at the bottom.
Overall I enjoyed the food, my only comment is that when you mix crayfish with lobster you invariably take away from the true "lobster" taste and that's precisely what the customer is coming for. I would suggest giving the customer an option of a full lobster roll using 100% claw meat.
Other than that, everything else was great including the staff who were friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend for anyone looking for a...

10/10 vibe, I especially liked that they made the sandwich right in front of you, and it was fast, with seating and a fun atmosphere playing 2010s feel good American pop music. The service was very friendly.
The food was good but not incredible. Perhaps my expectations were too high. I really wanted to love it after seeing so mouth watering videos on TikTok. I arrived right when they opened, and ordered the XL grilled cheese lobster roll. XL is supposed to be extra meat but it was definitely not. The flavors were good, I enjoyed the brioche a lot. It was definitely more seasoned and had more flavor than other lobster rolls I have had but still felt like it was missing something. Notably, ours came without chives. The lobster meat was a bit disappointing. It was slightly dry and mostly small pieces (not big meaty chunks like I saw online) and certainly not...
