After getting a recommendation from friends to have lunch here, we tried our best to get reservations and failed. And failed. And failed. Finally it was the day of our visit to D'Orsay and we decided to just show and up and see if they would seat us, success! We were seated right away, with pleasant smiles and bienvenues. The restaurant is gorgeous - gold gilt and chandeliers and painted ceiling (my husband remarked that he thought this was a more beautiful restaurant than Ore at Versailles). The service is quick and professional, our server was very friendly (we are Canadian) and was very patient with my French, thank you again. The menu is interesting and we found items that we both wanted immediately along with a wine that would compliment both. The wine carafe was lovely as it was at Ore, although completely different styles. I want to both for our home. I started with the vegetarian soup as it was a chilly and wet sort of day while my husband began with the saucisson. For our mains, he had the mushroom ravioli and I had the plat du jour - Duck Parmentier. Oh wow. Everything was tasty and warming and exactly what we wanted and needed. We are happy they were able to seat us. It was rich and everything good about French cuisine. I am ashamed to admit that the serving of my main was generous I was unable to finish not was I able to have dessert, what a shame as the dessert menu looks incredible. This set the tone for our whole visit to D'Orsay, which was interesting, informative and is on our list to do again the next time we are in Paris. We absolutely will be able and look forward to our next visit. I'm already dreaming about what delicious things will be on the menu in the future. Thank you again for an excellent meal and...
Read moreIt was nice to enjoy the luxurious interior of the Orsay Museum. The cuisine varied in taste and was not a favorite French dish.
I was in the first row and had a seat near the window, but I was guided to the middle seat, so I requested a seat by the window and sat down.
On the service side, there were good waiters and one waiter who did not move at all when I call. I think he's the same person I saw in the comments here, "A thin white man wearing glasses with white hair."
Overall, "Brasserie Paul Bocuse de Musee", an orthodox French dish at the National New Museum in Tokyo, was much better in food, service and atmosphere.
order: Appetizer (soup) and main dish (pork) set, red wine (24.5 €, 6 € )
Pork is soft and delicious. The soup was warm and subtle. The Asian woman next table had half of the soup left, so I think she didn't like it, too. And I wanted the bread to warm. Thank you.

Read moreAn exceptional dining experience at the Musée d'Orsay. The Musée d'Orsay restaurant is undoubtedly a place of distinction. The setting ranks among the museum's most sophisticated spaces, with gilded walls, ceiling frescoes, elegant chandeliers, and expansive windows that transport you back in time, creating an atmosphere of the highest caliber. While the tables maintain elegant simplicity, the colorful plastic designer chairs—though personally not to my taste—somehow contribute to the overall sense of refined class. The cuisine is of exceptional quality, with even the youngest diners finding satisfaction through their dedicated children's menu. The fried fish is particularly delicious. The Caesar salad stands among the finest I've enjoyed in Paris, though I would personally prefer the chicken slightly roasted rather than steamed—nonetheless, it remains excellent. The service deserves special mention, and the ice cream is an absolute delicacy. While not budget-friendly, the pricing feels justified given such an extraordinary setting. Highly recommended for a memorable Parisian dining experience that combines culinary excellence with...
