I had one of the most satisfying meals in my short trip in Paris here, surrounded by the artistic vibes of the square for a true lovely atmosphere. The duck breast with the orange sauce and potatoes was very good, and since it's a touristic place, I expected less but I was positively impressed and the food went beyond my expectations. The foie gras was quite good as well, even though some may say it had a stronger flavour compared with the typical one you use to find, but definitely it was really tasty, especially with the sauce that comes with it. We had also a crêpe complete, which was really good looking and very crispy, and a profiterole, the only one that wasn't above the standard (the bignè was way too dry). We ordered two glass of wine, red for me and white for my guest, and speaking about my choice, I picked the lost expensive one, not to look fancy but because of the tastes to go along with the duck and I admit that it worth the extra money. So, at the end we had: 1 foie gras, 1 crêpe complete, 1 duck chest, 2 glass of wine, 1 profierol, 2 coffees for a total amount of 81,70€. If you want to sit on the terrace, then know in advance - you will be approached in at least 10 minutes, we had to look for a waiter ourselves.
There is very little space on the terrace, a large accumulation of chairs and tables.
We ordered Croque Madame, hot chocolate and a French croissant for breakfast. I will say right away: the hot chocolate here is cocoa, so don't expect that they will bring you exactly that thick chocolate. Croissant was not bad, no comments. (If anything, you should keep in mind that they don't bake them themselves here) The croque madam was tasty and filling, but I didn't understand why many lettuce leaves were served here and also dressed with vinegar.
Tart-tanin with an apple was taken as dessert. Complete mess. Unfortunately, there is no photo of the dessert, but it looked as if apple jam was spread on a piece of dough, there was diluted whipped cream nearby, and it tasted bitter.
We paid 36 euros for all this, it's...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend just randomly stumbeld upon this nice, cozy and romantic little restaurant on Montmartre hill.
We were looking for genuine French onion soup but couldn't find it anywhere for normal price when this cozy little restaurant appeared in front of us. :)
They had the soup for far more reasonable price than other restaurants near-by.
The waitress was super-friendly, helpfull and smiled all the time, the interior is classic looking which gives you the romantic feeling and guess what else? Thay have a CAT!!! :) :) :) I just love cats! They had me at "hello" ;)
The cat was peacefully sleeping on the next chair since it wasn't crowded inside. This is a big "+' from me. :)
