MICE RUNNING AROUND IN THE RESTAURANT AND RUDE WAITRESS. HEALTH HAZARD, AVOID! We went to this restaurant with my husband to celebrate our 1 year anniversary this weekend. We chose to sit inside and to our surprise, the place was pretty empty on a Saturday night. Food was decent but overpriced for the quality. Now, towards the end of our meal, we see a mouse running away three tables away from ours. Not outside, on the terrace, INSIDE THE RESTAURANT. I quickly inform the waitress who was serving us, I overheard that her name was Yasmeen or Yasmine - I kid you not, she presumptuously and disrespectfully proceeds to tell me the following" Well, these are mice, not rats! It is perfectly normal for restaurants to have mice and as a matter of fact, mice are very clean. There's nothing we can do anyway. Why? Are you scared?" The absolute audacity of this woman was unbelievable. I explained to her that mice had no business running around in a restaurant where you clients sit and eat!!! This is extremely UNSANITARY and the least she could have done was to apologise for the incident but instead, the waitress was extremely nonchalant and rude. We decided to ask for the check and by the time they came to us, there were 2 more mice running even closer to us in-between tables, we videotaped them and showed them to another waiter. He apologised and swore that their restaurant was compliant with all sanitary norms despite the mice having the time of their lives on the floor. I will notify the sanitary authorities as it is unacceptable to have people eating in an infested place. Unless you like eating with mice dancing at your feet and being disrespected on top of that, AVOID...
Read moreThe reasons why I don't recommend eating at this restaurant are the following:
the waiter's attitude was not particularly good, as if you were unwelcome . They also gave us half of a baguette that someone else had left over, leaving a basket half empty. This was confirmed when I re-inquired about getting new bread, and the new bread basket was full, not half empty;
both toilets were blocked, which was very disruptive to the appetite before eating. After going to the toilet and flushing the water immediately gushed out of the toilet, even to the door, which affected the appetite too much!
the roasted veggies given were rotten, and with a lot of sophistry! After eating a broccoli, I felt that the acidity was not normal at all and looked at another broccoli that was actually about to rot, and the center stalk was turning black. Asked the waiter about it and he said that it was because it was a different broccoli 😂 He also said that he had gone to culinary school and could tell the difference between rotten broccoli and normal ones, people who have not gone to culinary school could tell if the broccoli was rotting or not!
Flies kept flying on top of the food that was served, so I did mention this to the waiter. He actually told me it was because it was starting to get hot! Don't tell me that! Isn't it because your restaurant's hygiene is a concern? The cups also smelled like bacteria! Highly not recommended and please realise...
Read moreA Parisian cafe you should avoid. I’ve been there mostly since I live there and it is under my house. I ordered the calamari on the first occasion and tried to order the coffee the second time. The calamari was over fried and seemed like they just got frozen ones and fried and served it. The restaurant also insects so these just went inside my friend’s wine glass when It was left it sitting. The second time is even worse: They politely told me to leave the restaurant despite there being seats since I ‘just’ ordered coffee with croissants. The staff was not accommodating to kids and told me to leave with them. It’s painful to see a society where mums with kids are unwelcome in restaurants, and told to order takeaway only. I wish you spend your money wisely promoting restaurants with values and...
