Le Verre Galant (15th arrondissement) is our steady first night restaurant when we visit Paris in early February- most years. The grilled salmon is both moist and crispy on the edges, a delicious green salad is available and wine choices are perfect after a long day of travel. We had the grilled salmon and it was flawless- crisp on the edges, tender on the inside and of generous quantity. It is our welcoming meal for our first night in Paris, a Sunday, when most restaurants are closed. The peaceful atmosphere and simple surroundings after a long day of travel are so appreciated. The service was incredibly kind and friendly. They were very thoughtful and sweet to my mother-in-law who’s a vegetarian. They brought her more vegetables when they noticed she didn’t eat the shrimp on her plate. Such a touching gesture. I highly recommend.
