Le Verre Galant - Porte de Versailles — Restaurant in Paris

Le Verre Galant (15th arrondissement) is our steady first night restaurant when we visit Paris in early February- most years. The grilled salmon is both moist and crispy on the edges, a delicious green salad is available and wine choices are perfect after a long day of travel. This year we ate at Le Verre Galant on our first and last nights. My scallops were delicious! The service was, as always, pleasant and prompt. The ambiance is conducive to a relaxed meal. My husband and I have eaten here twice, both times- 2016 and 2017- during our visits in February for Retromobile. We had the grilled salmon and it was flawless- crisp on the edges, tender on the inside and of generous quantity. It is our welcoming meal for our first night in Paris, a Sunday, when most restaurants are closed. The peaceful atmosphere and simple surroundings after a long day of travel are so appreciated. Delicious food and delightful service. Loved! We ate here on our first night in Paris. My husband and I brought our moms and we all had the most delightful and delicious meal. The service was incredibly kind and friendly. They were very thoughtful and sweet to my mother-in-law who’s a vegetarian. They brought her more vegetables when they noticed she didn’t eat the shrimp on her plate. Such a touching gesture. I highly recommend.
