Birthday was spoiled.
We booked a table and mentioned that we need a table near the window on the second floor for 2-3 people, as we are going to have a small birthday dinner. Booking was confinmed.
When we came the first waiter, on the first floor, told that it's impossible to take a table near the window, as it is only for 4 people. And said nothing when we told about information that was mentioned in booking.
The waiter on the second floor offered us a table for only 2 people and started to interrupt us, when we tryed to show the booking info. We asked for the manager and he went somewhere mumbling smth. After that he just ignored our table, walking around and serving other tables.
Third waiter came asking if we are ready to order anything, but by that time we didn't even have a menu. We explained him, about the booking and said that we still have no menu. He said he can offer us prosecco as an excuse and will bring a menu. We asked for the manager again.
15 min after... Guess what? No menu, no manager, no prosecco.
In total we spend around 40-45 min in the restaurant where we booked a table in advance with clear request about the place we would like sit. After that my patience was over. We started dressing up as we were going to leave. Suddenly second waiter appeared with the menu. And again mumbled smth like it was his mistake leaving us without menu...
What was the problem to reject our booking if you can't offer us what we asked you about? Where should the 3d person sit, if there are only tables for 2 or 4 people? What is wrong with your staff, it's not easy to gather such unfriendly, unprofessional and rude people in such amount at one place,...
Read moreWe had the Burrata as a shared starter, the Bacon Cheeseburger and the chateau briand as main courses and the crème brûlée aswell as the choclate fondant cake.
The Burrata was a bit too cold but the sauce and the tomatoes were very good, would recommend.
The burger was perfect, the bun was thick and really tasty, everything in the burger matched and nothing was overpowering. The burger was also served in a really nice chrome box. The only thing that could be improved were the fries, they were a bit soggy, but taste wise 10/10. They also were a bit too small for me, every frie was like 1.5cm.
The sauce bernaise from the chateau briand was too thick and heavy but tasted good.
The chocolate cake tasted really good and the vanilla ice cream was also perfect. The cake could have been a bit more fluid for my taste.
Staff was very kind, attentive and spoke good english. We easily got a table and were welcomed as soon as we reached the restaurant. The upper floor looks amazing and has a very nice atmosphere. (the ground floor as well) The waiting time for the starter as well as for the main cours was really short but for dessert it took a while. (probably because of the...
Read moreGreat location! That's about it! I had a very bad food poisoning after eating a fish and chips that "looked" microwaved or reheated a few times. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the meal. The fries were clearly frozen and lacked any real flavor or texture. It was obvious that they had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long, as they were dry and unappetizing.
The fish itself was even worse. It was incredibly soggy and lacked any sort of crispness or texture. It was clear that the batter was either not cooked properly or had been sitting around for too long. The fish itself was bland and tasteless, and it was clear that it was not fresh. the pea cream was incredibly bland and lacked any sort of seasoning or flavor. To make matters worse, the tartar sauce was warm, probably from being under the heat lamp for a while.
Anyway, I experienced abdominal pain and cramps shortly after eating. While I can not be sure what caused my food poisoning symptoms, I suspect that the fish and chips may have been...
