Little Havana - Street Food Paris 02 — Restaurant in Paris

This place was a good find. But I rated 4 overall as there’s room for improvement. As someone who’s been to Miami and Cuba a couple of time, this placed lacked a bit of ambiance and authenticity. The ambiance would be easily remedied with a bit of Cuban music and a little more organization in the kitchen. In terms of the food, the cubano was no truly authentic. The same pork meat was used on both lechón and cubano sandwiches. Don’t get me wrong, they were both tasty. But I was expecting a pork roast with ham - yes, two types of pork meat like the original in Florida Keys. I was not disappointed in the end, noting that this place is more of a fast “grab and go” joint than a formal sit down. Had it had the ambiance, I would have stayed longer. I appreciate the efficiency of the single cook and waitress who has to serve those who sat down. To add to the “fast grab and go” comment, they have a machine that does all the frying (sweet potatoes and the maduros), pretty efficient I would say… but then I think prices should reflect that this is more a fast food Cuban spot, rather than a full...

This place is FIRE. No wait, it's not fire, it's LAVA. It's LIT. It's about as good as you can get, anywhere. In all our days in Paris, this restaurant, with its cool vibes and amazingly tasty food (seriously, how do you pack THAT MUCH flavour into each dish?), is the best you'll have. Hands down. Service is amazing to boot, and the owner/manager is a chill lad. Next time we come to Paris, we're coming here multiple times. The actual taste of Cuba. We had a reservation, were on time, but somehow they gave our reservation away to people that pretended to have one and arrived before... so we ended up with the table just in front of the grill and between the full rack of clothes. Everyone was nice and the food was tasty, but we smelled horibbly of food (and all our clothes did too, had to wash even the jackets), were cramped so honestly we couldn't leave soon enough.
