We made a reservation and were genuinely excited to visit — and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. La Mézéterie truly deserves recognition from Michelin.
From the moment we sat down, the service was seamless. Every detail was thoughtfully handled — if a drink was running low, someone was there immediately. If one server was busy, another stepped in effortlessly. The team’s communication was exceptional.
What really stood out was how well every server knew the menu because they had tasted everything themselves. Their recommendations felt personal and thoughtful, not rehearsed. I originally ordered the steak, but since I prefer it well done, the chef came out and kindly explained how that would impact the dish. He suggested the chicken instead — it was easily the best chicken kebab I’ve ever had. To top it off, the chef surprised me with an extra kebab so I could fully enjoy it.
The food was outstanding. The spicy hummus with fresh bread was flavorful and perfectly balanced. The chicken kebab was exceptional. Others in our group ordered the three meat kebab, which was equally impressive. Every cocktail was crafted with care.
Our server, Alex, was fantastic. She was attentive without ever being intrusive — warm, knowledgeable, and intuitive. When we needed help choosing dessert, she made a perfect recommendation while also ensuring it fit our allergy needs.
Yes, it is a higher-end restaurant, but the experience justifies every euro. It’s not just a meal — it’s a memorable evening. If there’s a restaurant that defines five-star dining, it’s La Mézéterie.
Highly recommend trying the chicken kebab, three meat kebab, spicy hummus with bread, and their cocktails.
Thank you, Alex — you made the night even...
Read moreHad heard great things from friends about this place. We arrived and were pleased to be seated without a booking. However it all went downhill from there.
Service The table was barely big enough to accommodate the starters ordered yet everything ordered between multiple courses was brought out at once. So many issues with this.
We were cramped as there was no space to move or eat properly without knocking things over. We even asked the staff if they could slow down the the service as a) there was not enough space and b) the food would get cold (and did get cold). They refused though really this is something that should have been thought of by the place.
Amidst the chaos, it felt more like we were at a cattle show than a nice establishment for dinner. Staff also kept forgetting things and management could not have been less interested in ensuring a pleasant experience
The restaurant really needs to have a rethink about the pace of service, size of the plates given obvious space issues and also ability to manage a busy evening....it was all very, very sloppy
Food The food itself was mixed. The mixed grill platter was 4/10. The meat cubes (lamb?) was shockingly tough, chewy. The beef kefta had a weird aftertaste. Only the shish tawouk was good. The beef baklawa received mixed reviews and the kunafa poulet was good.
Overall the evening was really surprising in just how bad the experience was. Do go here if you want a chaotic dining experience where management is focused in table turnover rather than ensuring patrons enjoy a...

From the moment you enter, the ambiance is welcoming and warm. The lighting and music create an atmosphere that feels both modern and deeply connected to Lebanese culture. The restaurant is immaculately clean, adding to the overall experience. Joe, Sari, and Karl were wonderful hosts—each interaction was so genuine, and their hospitality made me feel right at home, as if I were dining in a friend’s kitchen back in Beirut.
We ordered an assortment of plates, each one better than the last. Every dish managed to stay true to traditional Lebanese flavors while bringing a refreshing twist. The creativity in presentation and flavor reimagining makes La Mézeterie stand out, yet every bite transported me back to Lebanon, evoking the tastes and memories of places I hold dear. This restaurant offers more than just food; it’s a nostalgic journey for anyone who’s lived in or loves the region.
Overall, I would rate La Mézeterie as the best Lebanese restaurant I’ve visited outside Lebanon. For a dining experience that’s as comforting as it is unique, this is the place to...
