The AC was working on heat on a summer night without the possibility to switch it off. AC control was locked & unchangeable in the room. I called the reception but the person who is covering the night shift didn’t speak neither good English or French. They barely understood the issue and said they don’t know how to control the AC until the morning shift person arrived. I barely slept all night. Next day, I ask the morning receptionist to fix AC issue for me. Barely spoke English or French too. Switched the AC to cold from the reception. Again, later on I recognized it was getting too cold so I went to the reception requesting to either turn it off or give me control. They didn’t know how to do it. They said they ll leave a note to the next person who knows how to, but the note was not left and the following person didn’t know to stop it. I had to sleep in probably (-) in the room. I promise it was as cold as a fridge. I got really sick at night because of it. I have a severe cold and I was trying to get to a clinic to see a doctor to get antibiotics since Pharmacies only sell antibiotics with prescriptions. A nightmare.
After many complaints I was given a new room, which was still small and basic.
I gave my clothes on a Saturday morning and asked to wash them, and to give them back to me latest Monday morning since I need them to work for Tuesday. Of course they weren’t ready. I asked the girl to call on Monday evening and bring back my clothes as I ve got nothing to wear anymore. She said she ll call and leave a note for me in the reception. Of course, she left for her shift without leaving a note or doing anything. I am checking out in one day to leave the country and I might have to all my clothes in Paris because of it. The hotel is a CATASTROPHE. Don’t get swooped by the over 4* reviews, I assure you the Price vs Quality ration is veeeery BAD!!
Don’t get yourself SCAMMED....
Read moreHotel environment, the breakfast, the room was convenient. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. But I experienced a very bad behavior from one of the staff. His name is Jean. I hope you have the cams and watch how he shouted at me. The customers can have negative issues while settling to the hotel. The customer can request the needs, if it doesn’t solve, the customer can give complaint, of course without shouting. But the receptionist behaved very badly to me while I was complaining. He shouted on Monday night and. I was very frightened, couldn’t sleep. And Thursday morning I didint want to keep in touch with him while checking out. He again behaved very badly, rude and aggressive. You can see all the details thru your cams. Nobody can say ‘ you have a problem ‘ to the customer / visitor. |I wanted to share my experience and hope to give feedback.|I will give this feedback to my company not to use this hotel for upcoming visits. |Ps: I don’t want to label all the staff badly. The rest of them, other receptionist, the breakfast ladies all...
Read moreI selected this Mercure location, not knowing exactly where I would be within the city of Paris. And, I struck gold. The location is perfectly situated, and the surrounding area is equally as nice. The hotel is just two block from the Arc de Triomphe and the Paris Underground #1 line. The location to the train allows you to access multiple sites within Paris, and only having to transfer about once. From the Charles de Gaulle train stop, we were able to visit, the Pantheon, Sacre Couer, and Notre Dame. And guess what.....???, you are only steps from the Champs Elyssee.
On the other hand, the rooms are standard with it comes to comfort. As such, the price point is somewhat reasonable for the accommodations. Do not pay for the breakfast, because you can eat a much better breakfast when you are out and about.
The service at the hotel was AWESOME, and that was due to Pietro. Pietro is AMAZING!!!! The company really should recognize him for how he represents the brand. He was...
