New Aqib — Restaurant in Paris

I had lunch here with friends and the food was delicious. Good flavors, spiced the way I like it. We had lamb and shrimp and, of course, naan. All very tasty and plentiful portions. The one distasteful ingredient in our experience was the apparent owner or manager. When we first arrived a member of the staff greeted us and asked how many etc., only to be rudely interrupted by Mr “I’m in charge here”. Strange and a bit unsettling. I ordered a Heineken, much to his displeasure. It was almost half the price of the Kingfisher. I had to insist 2 times before he decided that perhaps I knew best what I wanted to drink. None of us wanted appetizers. That again seemed to be an affront to our host. He insisted on listing each and every appetizer choice on the menu. We didn’t give in. During our meal, twice we were interrupted mid-conversation. I don’t remember why, but it was apparently more important than what we were discussing at the time. Then came the bill. We were asked, at least 3 times, to pay in cash. Interrupting our explanation that we had no cash, again and again. WORST restaurant and WORST experience at New Aqib restaurant yesterday, we were so hungry and went to have some good Indian food, but the waiter over there was so arrogant and self obsessed that he literally yelled at my father and my wife along with me because we ordered food without looking at the menu card, as Indians we know what to order at an Indian restaurant in a foreign country.. the waiter behaved like he owns the whole Paris and the customer is nobody to him. He yelled when we left the door open when we entered the restaurant. Also asked impolitely to my father to get his legs under the table properly. Shameful act by a waiter and worst service.

I highly recommend staying away from the restaurant and don't step in.

Even he did not care when we said that we will sue this restaurant and are ready to file a complaint against him.

Unfortunately or may be fortunately we had to leave the place immediately without even placing the order. Pathetic service.

Most pathetic and stupid service i ever had anywhere in the world. I will not talk about food food was ok not fresh but still it has spice and eatable. Firstly when we entered inside the restaurant i took off my jacket and a spoon fall down and the man said me so rudely hey look around and then after serving the food maximum 20 min later the man keep saying food is finished? Because they want to close the shop. At first if u are near closing u should say we will close at this time if we agree then we will deliver food otherwise not. Just to make it clear. We were eating and he came twice and keep asking is it finished?? I said we are eating as garlic Naan was left i didn’t taste it. We try to finish as early as possible and he came and said me three times pointing out towards Naan why u not finished it.
