My husband and I have eaten a lot of incredible food throughout France, and many amazing pizzas from food trucks and small restaurants. And I truly do not understand how this place has such great ratings. We went to it at the recommendation of our airbnb host. We ordered wine, a salad, and a pizza to share. The wine never ever came, the salad was nothing exciting, but okay no big deal. But the pizza....it came out raw. The dough was uncooked under the toppings, and just brown on the crust. After taking a bite or two each, we could not stomach the pale runny raw pizza dough any longer and had to apologetically send it back, explaining that it was raw. The waiter scoffed and showed our pizza to the table behind us and they all laughed. We were already embarrassed enough to be sending back food. A second pizza came back out to us, this time not raw..but certainly well under cooked. The toppings were all right from a can and lukewarm, the sauce was flavorless. It is easily the most disgusting pizza I've ever had, the raw dough experience aside. We ate some as to not be rude, paid, and promptly left.

Save yourself and literally pick any other place to eat in...

An ode to O’scià!

I have been coming to O’scià since the first Covid lockdown. Being a vegetarian, with gluten intolerance not a dream customer.

I recently learned that if you do not have celiac, you can request the kitchen to do the pizza in the regular oven (same as with gluten pizzas) and I did. And this is when magic happened. I think people who know what it feels like to yearn for that perfectly baked fresh dough, will know what I mean when I say Magic.

Food is not just about senses, it’s about nostalgia and O’scià pizza does that for a gluten-intolerant. They have people who are kind, sincere and warm - not your regular Parisian scene.

I have been coming here almost once every month for more than five years and I think I’ll continue to, until I am in Paris or whenever I can.

If there was a category for restaurants that make you feel that you belong, despite all your preferences/allergies, for me O’scià would always be the winner.

Cheers to O’scià...

Was my 2nd time here. First time we had a nice dinner. Hence the reason we returned. This time the waiter forgot to put in our order. So we had to remind him after 30 mins of waiting for food. That’s forgivable. Mistakes happen. But then I bit into my pizza and something hard was in my mouth. A 1 inch thin piece of metal. I don’t know from what. I have it to waiter and he said he would give to chef. But nobody seemed to care. No one apologized. The waiter just said he doesn’t really work there he was just helping friends. Then our bill came and it was wrong. He charged us 27 euro for glass of wine that should have been 6. Then I tried to pay and the machine didn’t work. Then…I think you get the point. It was like bad comedy. And no one that worked there cared at all. Was just a joke to them. Worst dining...

I was thrilled to hear that this restaurant had gluten free pizza. Since it is so difficult to find in Paris. I went for dinner with my boyfriend, he ordered a regular Diavola and I ordered a gluten free Margherita with Champignons. My pizza was 17€: 12 for the Margherita + 2€ for Mushrooms + 3€ for GF option. We waited for 1h for the two pizzas to arrive to the table, by the time we finally got them I clearly see that mine is some frozen tasteless pizza. My boyfriend’s was a peperoncio pizza not a diavola there was no spice. And mine was clearly not made at the restaurant. It was a cheap tasteless low quality supermarket pizza. The pictures speak for themselves. I kindly ask to restaurants that if you don’t do gluten free, don’t include it in the menu. Don’t serve me poisson for 17€.

In spite of being below 4.5 stars, the pizza was really good. Probably not the best in Paris, but definitely top tier. They use natural and good ingredients which helps the pizza to be delicious, compared to other pizzerias that used frozen ones. They have Gluten Free Pizza as well. The tiramisu however was exquisite, no picture since I jumped into it directly. I tried the pistaccio tiramisu which is amongst the best desserts I ever tried. The only thing is that it gives the typical osteria Italian vibes, which means don’t expect everything to be on time, however the atmosphere makes you enjoy the time spent there. The waiting was not a problem for us.

Heard from an Italian friend so I decided to give it a go. The fact that there weren’t any Italian servers, made me somewhat weary of the place. And I was right. As someone who lived in Italy over a decade, I found their food quite disappointing. The fritto Napoletana was insipid, except for the rectangular one with cheese in between. They weren’t even scorching hot, as it should’ve been, so must be an industrial one, microwaved. The pizza dough of the 4 stagioni, wasn’t fully cooked. The worst was the fried pizza. The dough seemed half raw and didn’t taste good at all. Not recommended. The servers were polite though.
