The restaurant is located on a popular and vibey street and it’s decor is really cosy - that’s why we wanted to try this place out. Once we sat down, we ordered our food and two glasses of wine - it all came very quickly. However, the wine was not poured into our glasses in front of us (which was strange), nor did we have the opportunity to try it (as you normally do with wine). I took a small sip and really didn’t like the acid flavor, so I asked a waiter if I can get something else instead. The waiter was bald with a beard and glasses, and was very rude and was not at all into giving service - he said he would charge me full and that it’s my own fault for not asking when I hadn’t even said it was anyones fault and simply asked to order another glass of wine. His tone was not friendly or respectful at all and definitely not how you should treat customers dining at your restaurant. As well as he was eyeing us very rudely afterwards. So I just didn’t drink the wine and payed full price for it. Also noticed some other tables having difficulties with him. As for the food, we got a burrata starter, the vongole and the spaghetti with meatballs. The burratta was fine nothing special, and definitely way too pricey for a starter. The vongole was very bland and flavorless, and poor in clams. The spaghetti with meatballs was much better than the other pasta dish, but again nothing incredible that you can’t find anywhere else. However, the other waiters were friendly and doing their job. It was just this one who seems to have a bit of an attitude. Also, I was very surprised that this was Maria by cesar, as his other restaurant cesar is very fancy and serves delicious food - it’s a shame that it’s like this here. So in conclusion we will not be going there again and do not recommend you this place for quality Italian food - this was more of an expensive fast food. There are much better places you can...
Read moreThe manager was there and we asked him if it was possible to get a pizza to go, because it was late in the evening and we didn‘t want to spend too much time in a restaurant. He said yes but invited us to sit down, i thought he meant that we can wait at a table until the pizza is ready. Another waiter came to take our order. At first he said they would not do take away but when he heard that we had asked the manager it was okay for him, too..or at least we thought so until he came and brought us glasses and asked about what drinks we wanted. Our „nothing, we want only the pizza ‚to go‘ “ ended up in him bringing us „two coke“. A simple misunderstanding? No, no - we told him at least 4 times also with the words „take away“ - he even wanted us to buy the drinks afterwards because „the order can‘t be changed anymore, it‘s already in the system“. (Nonsense, you can always change an order, simply trying to rip us off..) Turned out after a few minutes of discussion it was possible to take back the cokes.. The pizza was quite small for 15€ but at least we got it. As we paid the waiters neither looked us in the eyes nor said a word. All in all a total pain in its birth und really not what we wished for in that (our first) evening in paris.. Probably better to visit the restaurant on the other side of the street if you want a pizza...
Read moreDuring our recent trip to Paris, my friends and I had the pleasure of dining at Maria, a fantastic restaurant that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality, and the atmosphere was simply delightful—elegant yet cosy, with a charming Parisian touch.
The food was absolutely incredible. We ordered a mix of pizza and pasta, and each dish was cooked to perfection. The pizza had a perfectly crisp crust, topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients, while the pasta was rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a treat!
To top off our meal, we indulged in tiramisu for dessert, and it was simply divine—light, creamy, and full of rich espresso and cocoa flavors. It was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal.
The service was impeccable as well. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Their passion for great food and hospitality truly stood out.
Overall, this restaurant gave us a wonderful dining experience in Paris. If you're looking for a place with delicious Italian cuisine, a warm atmosphere, and top-notch service, this is definitely the place to go. We will absolutely be coming back on...
