I can confidently say that the flat white was excellent, but unfortunately, I can't say the same about the service, both when ordering and collecting the drink. I perceived a sense of arrogance from the staff member, which has led me to decide against visiting again. —- Edit after my second visit: Against my better judgment, I ended up at Partisan again because my friend wanted to try it while we were in Paris. Big mistake. Huge. If I thought the service was bad the first time, this visit redefined terrible. After waiting 15 minutes for a takeaway coffee, they handed it to me in a dine-in mug. When I pointed out I wanted it to-go, they poured the same coffee from the mug into a takeaway cup. Yes, they literally poured it. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
So now, for the privilege of €5.50, I’m drinking what feels like Nescafé 2-in-1, wondering why this place even exists. It’s clear they don’t care if you enjoy your coffee—or if you have a shred of dignity left after dealing with their arrogant and disorganised staff. If you value your morning coffee ritual or just basic respect, avoid this place like the plague. Partisan? More like Partisan to...
Read moreI got screamed upon (and I mean this literally) by an Asian waitress because I picked up someone else's order (I had ordered an iced latte and that is what I picked up). She very rudely came to my table and screamed "did you hear me call out your name?" Well for a lady who cannot pronounce my name correctly (it's swedish) to save her life that is a very entitled comment. I genuinely did think that the drink was mine. I ordered before my friends did and all their drinks were out. This latte was just kept there at the order table. If there was nobody to claim it and no other wait staff present to confirm, how am I supposed to know! I have been to this cafe before (it is 50 meters away from my place and has ok coffee) and have noticed how they avoid saying my name because it is difficult for them. I can see there are more comments about rude wait staff. In any case there is no reason to scream and no reason to be rude. The person whose order I had picked up ended up apologizing to me saying she didn't understand what the big deal is as it was the same order. Not the place you would want to go to if this is how you...
Read moreThe service was awful. It pushed me away to have a wish to return to this place. I travel all around the world and I love coffee, I always try to find a good quality coffee. Here I have ordered a flat white, but as an exception asked for a little bigger cup as I don't like my coffee being very strong. The older guy at the cashier said that he cannot make me a flate white in a bigger cup except I want a latte wit an extra shot. Basically he wanted me to buy an extra shot while I already wanted a flat white with double shot. He also said that milk is expensive so if I want a bigger cup, it means they will use more milk and it costs money. It was the worst experience and I will never advise this place to any of my friends and will not return.
I work in a coffee business and I never treat my customers this way. If they want their coffee being served in a different way I don't mind doing that.
The only nice person that I have encountered that day was the batista who...
