Decent pho but not amazing, needs to be served hotter. Also the Bun Bo Bue noodles were all chopped up and between 2-5cm long. Couldn’t eat the noodles properly. Really ruined the experience.
Got the Pho Dac Biet and the Bun Bo Hue.
The soups came out somewhat hot, but not very hot. Could sip instantly and didn’t need to cool down. Within a few minutes the soup was just kind of warm and not very enjoyable to eat.
Pho Dac biet is tasty but very sweet, too sweet for my tastes. It’s also quite fatty, and not the clearest broth. The cuts of beef were all delicious and plentiful and the brisket was cooked perfectly and sliced thick.
Bun Bo Hue is not very authentic, the flavor is lacking quite a lot. Doesn’t taste like BBH you get in Vietnam. But worst of all, the noodles were very short. They seemed all cut up. I’m not sure. Couldn’t pick up and slurp the noodles. Really disappointing and made eating the dish difficult. Quite a letdown since it was so highly recommended.
We decided to bring the rest home to heat up properly and enjoy to its max potential, but to go containers cost €1 each. I’ve never seen this before in Paris.
The food isn’t bad, but the fact that it was served barely hot and cooled down so quickly, and BBH noodles were chopped up, really took away from...
Read moreI would not recommend this place even it’s Michelin Star rated!
I was really looking for some authentic Viet dishes, and this place has been receiving Michelin awards for the past few years.
Food: I would say my chicken pho is authentic (but too sweet for my preference), big portion size (likely to share for two people), a bit overpriced (€13.90).
Service: Everyone else that served us was ok(not friendly but was helpful), except for the old lady in the store was quite rude. Imo she’s racist, she was rude to Asian customers but friendly to non-Asians(even though she’s Asian herself). She was rushing the table next to us to order, made comments in her language, also rushing us to pay.
Everyone seems like they don’t enjoy working there, so if you’re heading here don’t expect to have good customer service.
Side note: Only cash and Visa cards are accepted (Mastercards don’t allow).
Atmosphere: The atmosphere was decent, seated in a booth small table and chair, hard to move around but not too much to complain about.
I hope she was just having a bad day, there’s so much better options around, I wouldn’t spend so much for something that was decent, especially with the service...
Read moreVery excited to visit and experience an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Paris. The restaurant is quite small and in order to meet the demand of people, the tables were very, very close to each other. In order to leave a booth seat along the wall, you have to move the tables over or out each time. This ultimately does interupt the experience, especially when eating a bowl of hot noodle soup. I ordered the Bun bo Hue, expecting some heat and or to be given some chilli peppers, but it wasn't. There was no pork blood or any other hams. The bun bo hue broth was luke warm which was disappointing especially when you are expecting a steaming hot bowl of soup to warm you up. Also too much onions. The pho dac biet broth was delicious and hot but there was also too much onions vs. noodles and meat. Order banh cuon as well and it was actually the best part of our meal, however, nothing too special that you cant get at any other vietnamese restaurant.
Overall, it was nice to experience some authentic vietnamese cuisine in Paris (especially after eating so much bread), but it really isn't anything that I cannot get at home...
