POSSIBLE FRAUD: During my visit to Paris I only used my credit card (ONCE) at this macaron location. Shortly after, my card was charged 7 euro for Amazon PRIME. I used this card ONCE while I was in France. Beware of this location. The associate didn’t know basic math and came off sketchy too!
Was this intentional? A scam? First and last time purchasing macarons at Pierre Herme. I cannot shop somewhere where associates do not know basic math.
Purchased a box of 24 and 12 macarons. Mentioned multiple times that they were gifts and I was travelling with them. Associate mentioned that the box will offer protection in comparison to their simple white boxes (obviously).
Receipt shows that I was charged for 40 macarons. Went back and she said that she can’t give me a refund and only give me the extra four macarons I paid for. She put them in a flimsy white box which I cannot travel with (she knows this) and I have no desire to eat them because I was in the hospital yesterday and cannot eat anything at the moment. (Again these were gifts).
If she couldn’t give me a refund, she should have repackaged my 12 macarons in a bigger box with the added four macarons because she KNEW I was TRAVELLING.
Bad customer service in my opinion. When you’re paying 117 + euros on macarons, you expect better.
Four macarons will be going to waste and just to preface, I’m bilingual. I spoke to her in French. Did she hear me speaking English on the phone to intentionally overcharge me? Weird.
Upon inspection of the box, she put one piece of scotch tape on the box to “protect it”. Ridiculous!! She also said they didn’t have cheaper boxes available so I purchased the more expensive boxes. Now that I think of it, I think it was poor communication on her part. She spoke like we were in a library so I just feel scammed overall LOL..

Read moreOkay okay...I know Pierre Hermé is a super touristy macaron shop, and the Pierre Hermé on Champs Elysée is probably the MOST touristy you can get, but I can't help but give this place five stars. Pierre Hermé is home to some of the best macarons I've had in my life -- which is probably too many for the good of my health -- and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the macarons, the staff's attention to detail, and all the unique flavors this shop had to offer.
As a popular macaron shop in one of the hottest tourist destinations in Paris, this location is undeniably crowded. There's usually a huge line circling around a central display of macaron after macaron. The line looks pretty intimidating, but it moves quite quickly, and there are so many flavors that it'll probably be helpful to have a bit of extra time to review the menu.
My friend and I split a pack of four macarons, including their seasonal isapahan (rose, lychee, raspberry), infiniment praliné pistache, and a jardin de cassandre (red currant, rhubarb). The macarons were delightful. I loved the two seasonal items; they were delightfully fruity and slightly floral, and I loved the slightly tangy flavor from the raspberry in the isapahan and rhubarb / currants in the jardin de cassandre. The praliné pistache was nice and nutty, and the inner cream offered a great additional richness.
It's usually super crowded so seating tends to be quite limited. My friend and I ended up taking our macarons to go and enjoyed them elsewhere as we toured...
Read moreWe had dinner here on May 2018 during our vacation. Our server, Quincy C. , on table 705 at around 2200 displayed the worst customer service we've experienced in our life. From the very start after waiting for a long time, he was questioning why we are just ordering instead of waiting for us to tell him our food orders as we had questions. He took our orders with attitude. 30 to 40 minutes later, he provided bread and just drop it on our table thinking that this should suffice to make up for the delay. He did not even say anything. When the food finally arrive, he unprofessionally just slammed the dishes on our table. Despite all this, we just remained calm and patient. When we finished our food, we asked if he can put the food that my wife couldn't eat due to her not feeling well . Instead of saying, I'm sorry we dont have a means of putting your unfinished food in a box. He rudely said, " we are a restaurant, we dont do take aways". He said it so loudly and insultingly, we felt so embarrassed. I've traveled around the world and have experienced a variety of services, good and bad. This waiter has topped the list of my worst experiences ever. I will never recommend this place. I hope I have the servers name correctly as I only have the name Quincy on the receipt. I also have a Cle 44 Serv: 44. He was black, a bit flamboyant, and never saw him smile. Your food was great but the bad experience totally made...
