After reading the good reviews, we stopped in for dinner on a Monday night. The server offered to seat us on the small balcony that overlooks the old port, but I couldn't handle sitting a foot away from a smoker.

Sitting inside by a window with a great view, we ordered a couple of glasses of rosé. Our server also brought some tasty bites - chickpeas with mustard sauce, corn with some peppers, and seafood crostini. Turns out they don't have dinner on Monday nights, but they have ardois (literal translation "blackboard") which are protein-centric appetizers served on slate plates. We chose a sardine ardois and a beef carpaccio ardois. The beef carpaccio was thin round slices of beef with capers, pesto, and parmesan cheese. The sardine ardois was 4 sardines (French coast sized, not American sized) atop salad, served with a cut and toasted roll with tomato (similar to bruschetta). Considering the jet lag, it was just about a perfect portion size for a light dinner, particularly with the free tastes offered with drinks. After our ardois and the second round of wine, she brought more free tastes - this time a potato salad with curry and something else that made it yellow, cucumbers with goat cheese, and olive...

Ordered an $18 virgin mojito, which is a lot to pay for a virgin drink but I was prepared to pay the premium price for the location. However, 3/4 of the glass was ice so there was barely any of the actual drink in the glass. When I mentioned this to them, they completely disregarded the complaint saying “this is how mojitos are”. I’ve had many mojitos in my life and I’ve never seen one with this much ice. I asked if they could just add a bit more of the actual drink instead of the ice and the manager said he would see what he could do and then just proceeded to completely ignore me and never come back to the table, not even to tell me there was nothing he could do. I was completely ignored and no help was provided. Disgusting attitude at this restaurant and I would not recommend it to anyone. There are hundreds of better places in Paris to give...

We were seated immediately but it took at least 15 mins for anyone to notice and take our order. We spent a total of an hour here and watched 4 different parties come in, get seated, get ignored by the server for 10 mins, and left. 2 parties that had finished dining had to ask the hostess to chase down the server for their checks.

I went in search for the restroom, and found a group of servers hanging out near the back of the restaurant chatting. I asked a couple of them where the restroom was and with full comprehension of what I was asking, they told me 3 times that they don’t have a restroom. Finally, an unamused woman stepped out and told me where it was. The servers burst into giggles like it was the funniest thing they’d ever done.

Hopefully, this was a fluke experience with bad service here, but I certainly wouldn’t...

I was invited by a family member to have dinner at Le Paradis du Fruit in Paris. From the name, you might expect a smoothie or fruit-salad bar, but it’s actually a full-service restaurant. The space is pleasant, though the tables and chairs feel a bit tight and close together. We had to wait about 20 minutes before our order was taken, but once we ordered, the food arrived quickly. The menu works almost like a buffet concept, where you can mix and match small dishes to create your main meal. Their fresh smoothies are a highlight—really tasty and refreshing. Overall, the food was decent and nothing overly fancy—a casual, normal restaurant with a relaxed vibe. Great for a simple meal if you’re nearby.

I only had the banana split and that was just awesome. But really those can only be messed up. My point is if you go in and get a banana split, you’ll have a 5 star experience. Anything else you order and you came to the wrong review. But I’m an optimistic person and fully expect you’ll like whatever treat is your vice. Mine’s a chocolate malt, which I’m not sure they had. My wife didn’t get anything though but probably just cause I dragged her there after begging for one more dessert stop despite our 10 hour flight landing 20 hours ago. She was tired, I get it. But the banana split was worth the scorn - that should tell you enough.

I came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening so it wasn't too busy and the service was great. Very fast but also attentive. The menu is quite unique in that you can essentially create your own meal with the "Adam and Eve" menu which I thought was cool, there were a lot of options to choose from. The cocktail selection was also vast and the ones we selected were both delicious. My only criticism is that I found the portion size of each selection quite small for the plate. Other than that though, lovely choice for lunch or dinner!
