Ambience: The place is beautiful with large windows and the sitting is quite nice! The music was not too loud, and the interior was cute. Nice if you are planning to take pictures. It is located conveniently, easy to find using Google Maps.
Service: The people serving us were very attentive, they answered any and all questions and were quick about bringing our food. Had a very nice attitude, no complaints.
Food: Here is where this Pizzeria loses 1 star. The pizza we ordered contained candied tomatoes, baked eggplant, burrata cheese and some regular cheese, tomato sauce and the crust. The crust was not like a pizza crust, it was more of a bread crust. It was too thick at the ends. While there was burrata and another kind of cheese on the pizza - it was not melted onto the pizza, just cut on top. Cold cheese was weird on a hot tomato sauce pizza crust. The burrata itself was good, but they could've put the other cheese in the oven with the pizza. The wine was also not very good. The tables were too small so it was uncomfortable to eat the large pizza. But otherwise, it was ok. Eatable and...
Read moreWe arrived at Pizzou with really high expectations, after reading all the good reviews. We waited 15-20 minutes for our pizza. It was lying on the counter getting cold and we saw the waiting staff was helping people who came much after us. When my husband mentioned that the waitress was rude and said “I don’t think it’s been that long” and brought us the cold pizzas. Upon a couple of bites we decided we didn’t like it.
When asked we said we didn’t think the pizza was good. To which we again got attitude for speaking our mind. Never before has a restaurant not even made an attempt to fix the problem.
So for us the service and quality of food was lacking. Quite disappointed with how defensive the staff was.
We later ate at Pink Mamma which has longer lines but better pizza and service.
Honestly restaurants should look for feedback so they can grow. We really felt unwelcome and it was not a...
Read moreWhat do they put into their sauce?!? I could literally drink Pizzou’s tomato sauce. I know, gross. But you’ll change your mind when you enjoy the truly remarkable Pizzou Pizza, Pigalle.
I make specific note of Pigalle. I’ve no idea their other locations. However one suspects equal quality. Oh, and the hustle!! The staff are a precision team. It’s truly a choreographed dance and one to enjoy. Take a table.
Clearly there were loads who couldn’t make it to Pizzou in person judging by the constant arrival/departure of scooters and bike delivery. 100 boxes of Pizzou departed into the night during the hour is sat, ate, gazed in awe.
Lastly, and most importantly, dog friendly!! #dogfriendly. Do hashes work here in Google reviews. Who cares. Get to Pizzou....
