Worst experience in Paris! The owner/manager is a big red flag!
The real issue wasn’t even the food but the shocking behavior of the manager. When the bill arrived, we noticed that it included 3-4 extra dishes that none of us had ordered. Naturally, we asked the manager to correct it. Instead of addressing the matter calmly, he reacted in the most unprofessional and aggressive manner imaginable.
We also informed him, as is common practice in Paris, that we wanted to pay individually. To our surprise, he became extremely rude, shouting at us and even physically pushing or tapping one of my friends on the shoulder in an intimidating manner. He screamed at us to leave and told us never to return to the restaurant.
As if that wasn’t enough, he slammed the door behind us and began loudly bad-mouthing us to other customers. His behavior was completely unhinged, and it felt like he targeted us because of our race. It was clear from his actions and words that he harbored discriminatory attitudes.
For anyone considering Chez Paolo, especially if you are not white, I strongly advise against going. The manager’s conduct was not only abusive but also blatantly racist. On top of that, he attempted to commit fraud by overcharging us. Always double-check your bill before...

My recent experience at this restaurant was deeply troubling and completely unacceptable. What began as a routine meal ended in an appalling display of dishonesty, aggression, and physical violence by the owner.
To start, the owner attempted to fraudulently overcharge us, adding three extra main courses to our bill that we never ordered. When we calmly raised the issue and requested to split the bill among our group—something entirely reasonable given that each of us had ordered separately—he refused outright and became hostile.
The situation escalated quickly. The owner began yelling at us in front of other patrons, creating a scene that was both embarrassing and deeply uncomfortable for everyone present. His behavior only worsened when he physically shoved one of my friends, an act that crossed every possible line of decency and legality.
This establishment poses a genuine threat to its customers. What happened was not merely bad service—it was an outright violation of basic ethics and personal safety. I strongly urge others to avoid this restaurant. Supporting such a business only enables this kind of abusive and...
Read more0/10, food was DISGUSTING, the escalope milanaise tasted like absolutely rotten chicken, as if it was reheated, uneatable! the pizza tasted nothing like an italian pizza. everything tasted like frozen food and the cheap kind too. we were a large group and were told to pay upstairs where PAOLO, was very rude and was yelling to force us all to pay together even tho that wasn’t what we wanted. Started yelling at me telling me he has no time, maybe should invest in getting more workers. He also is definitely NOT italian , firstly it shows from the way he talks that he’s been to italy maybe once in his whole life and a true italian would never serve food this disgusting and having nothing to do with italy whatsoever. really a 0/10 from the experience to the food to the rudeness of paolo. would recommend u go to anything else other than this restaurant. There’s a burger place called PNY right next to it maybe go to that instead if you want to have something eatable and that doesn’t taste...
