No beating around the bush - “Pépé” serves one of the best, if not the best pizzas I’ve ever had, including many of those in Italy (yes). It’s incredible how surprising the well-known flavors can be - starting from the dough, which is typically a bit sweet for Neapolitan pizzas. Here, the sweetness is not overpowering, only delicately hinted. The tomatoes are simply perfect, subtly tangy, warm. That continues all through your journey, and even the finishing touches do not disappoint- the basil is a revelation, perfectly complementing everything else on the plate. Stumbled across Pepe Ronchon out of the blue wandering around the neighbourhood trying to find a place for a late night dinner. Although it was late, the owner was able to ensure we had an amazing time while sitting on his cosy terrace. Not only the friendliness of the staff was truly touching, it is one of the best Pizza I've ever tried. Soft and thin crust, lots of garnishes, it was a delight at each bite.

If I had one recommendation for you: do not wander around and focus directly on this place for a great meal and moment.

We had a quick 8 hour visit to Paris and chose Pepe Ronchon for lunch. We were not disappointed. Although the resturant was very busy (so you must book ahead) when we arrived, the majority of customers left at 13:30 leaving just a few diners enjoying lunch. The food was excellent with a good choice available. We were surprised to see no chicken or beef options but nevertheless, there was a good selection to choose from.
