Restaurant Chinois Chang Sheng — Restaurant in Paris

THE BEST ASIAN RESTAURANT! Their food is amazing, really savoury and the price is cheap for a city like Paris, we spend 50€ for 4 people getting food, drinks and snacks! They have lots of variety of food, from chicken, beef, seafood to vegetarian delicious dishes. Their portions are enough to make you full but if you don't think so, no worries, as they prepare the tupper they ask you if that amount is good for you. The service is exceptional. They are always smiling, taking time to help you decide, giving recommendations... When we were ordering they ran out of spring rolls and prepared a few for us, they take their customer service to the next level and if it's not because of their exceptional service, you'll come back for tasting their dishes. We ordered to take away but you can always enjoy your dinner at the restaurant since they have few tables and some ambient music at the back. Expérience en demi-teinte. Ce restaurant chinois situé sur l’avenue Gambetta (métro Gambetta) m’a été recommandé par des collègues. Au départ, j’ai apprécié les formules à prix abordables (autour de 9 €), qui semblaient intéressantes. Mais avec le temps, j’ai remarqué qu’elles sont surtout composées d’une grande quantité de riz, tandis que la portion de viande ou de légumes reste très limitée. On se retrouve avec un repas peu équilibré, où l’aspect “bon rapport qualité-prix” est un peu trompeur.

Autre point négatif : les plats sont systématiquement réchauffés au micro-ondes, souvent de façon excessive. Le résultat n’est pas très agréable ni pour la texture, ni pour le goût. J’ai tenté de le signaler à la jeune femme qui s’en occupait, mais cela semblait tout à fait normal pour elle.

Lors de ma dernière visite en soirée, l’ambiance était également décevante : les employés étaient attablés, parlaient fort, riaient bruyamment… L’atmosphère était franchement peu reposante pour les rares clients présents, ce qui m’a donné une impression de manque de considération.

Enfin, concernant la vente au poids (type barquette), les prix grimpent très vite, surtout pour les accompagnements. Cela rend cette option beaucoup moins intéressante que les formules… qui elles-mêmes sont déséquilibrées.

Don't know where to start off. Super friendly servers with excellent info. The family that runs the restaurant eats there, so you know the food is authentic and made with love.
